My slave & I will be travelling in India for around a month starting in New Delhi.

As we are stopping off in Singapore on the way I don't want to take any bondage gear with me from here, and would like to buy some once we reach India.

I'd like to acquire some simple toys: Cuffs, blindfold, rope, a light flogger and maybe a paddle or two.

Can anyone reccomend a good place to buy this kind of stuff in New Delhi? If it's relevant we'll be based in Adchini, Sri Aurobindo Marg which I believe is in the southern part of the city, but will be travelling around town quite a extensively.

When traveling in places that gear is frowned upon or where we don't want to risk losing our stuff, we improvise. Often the stuff we'd find while traveling was so expensive or of such cheap quality we found that it wasn't worth it. We've found that noone will think twice about 10-15 cheap neckties shoved into a side pocket of your bag. Once someone asked and I said that my husband was a business man and often forgets his ties. So, we just leave them there. We use them for cuffs, bondage, in place of rope, etc. My boy's favorite blindfold is actually a comfy "sleep" aid of a blindfold. The label says infinity and has the website www.dreamessentials.com It is super comfortable, blocks out all light, and when I wore it, I enjoyed the fact that my eyes weren't smushed shut like with other blindfolds. Another thing that we've traveled with for bondage purposes are the aerobic stretch bands. We use them for bondage as well. Saran wrap as shown in another thread is also great for bondage. As far as paddles go, we stop into a hardware store and get paint sticks and tape them together for a paddle, or we buy some wood dowels and go from there. The other alternative although to India, it could be very very price is to ship your toys there and then ship them back.

Thanks for that & I already know about improvisation, but we're going to be in India for a month & I'm happy to buy a few things for that length of time.

There's a few people from India that are regulars on collarme, so hopefully some of them must know where to get the stuff,

I've traveled extensively in India and have yet to run across anything that I would consider a fetish shop. How about just using Fed Ex to ship yourself a little care package.

If it's leather goods you want there are a huge number of small custom shops in Delhi. I'm sure that any of them could make what you want and likely deliver it in a day or two.

Good luck on your trip. India is a facinating country. Be sure to get to see the Red Fort when you are in Delhi. Its an amazing place.

I lived in New Delhi for 4 years and have never seen anything that would be considered proper bondage gear, i would try to improvise, enjoy your trip India is an amazing place

Well i'm frm india and i've heard tht Delhi is the only place where u can good bondage stuff's, though i'm not sure where u'll get it, try out some where near cannaught place, as BDSM is illegal here so no one will sell it openly!!!!!!!!

i have seen whips being sold in Kolkota's new market. Well there were whips and crops but i dont know about the handcuffs

I would be careful about taking anything over that you might be worried about losing through customs.  India can be very difficult to get things through. To my understanding, their customs process is nothing like the US, so if you are bringing something across that could be questionable, odds are it may simply not make the round trip. So leave the prettiest and best of your toys where you know you will for sure be able to enjoy them later.... At home! and I agree that ingenuity is your best friend. It will make your trip the more memorable when you look back on just what you could find in an exotic country to meet your fetish needs..

The only thing i can say to take outta india would be some hides .Don't worry if you can not find the  hide tanners just use your nose and smell around , ask  the locals too . Some markets would sell  hides if you do not wish to deal  directly with the tanners .But you can ship out some bargin  raw leather material . Highly doubtful you shall find  any bdsm shops , and if you did  take heed what the others say about owning ,having or shipping the items .

I would go for a pet shop.

Dog collars can be fitted for all limbs with minimal effort.  Also belts, chains and even climbing rope can be bought in numerous innocent places.
