I recently was in a scene were the top put cinnamon oil on my clit.  Now that burned and hurt like no ones business, but it made me hornier then hell.  Now the question that came up was, if he were to fuck me while that was on my clit, and surrounding area, would it damage the condom?

Oil weakens latex. Only you can weigh the benefit against the risk, but you're putting the condom into a compromise where it increases the likelihood of it breaking to some extent.

Cinnamon tea and teabags are also...invigorating, and probably have much less oil content. :)

Thank you Grlwithboy.  I was afraid of that.  Guess it will have to be a vibrator or dildo then!

You could use a polyurethene condom, because these aren't weakened by oil.

Yes.

And the oil would likely go through the condom and HE would enjoy that sensation himself.

Another excellent workaround, we should brainstorm this one! :)

Using Fast Reply...

What about a female condom instead?

SweetDommes -> RE: Cinnamon Oil and Condoms (12/27/2006 5:53:03 PM)

Using a female condom would be about the same as a male condom - as the male thrust inside, he would carry some of the oil to the inside of the female condom, weakening it just the same.

The other suggestions and replys are also accurate - polyurathane wouldn't be weakened, but isn't protective against disease (which is quite unfortunate for those of us who are allergic to latex), using different versions of cinnamon would most likely work, and using a toy rather than flesh would solve the problem as well ...

classykindasassy -> RE: Cinnamon Oil and Condoms (12/28/2006 12:51:43 PM)

Pure essential oils (like cinnamon, peppermint, lavender) have more active breakdown factors than carrier oils used to dilute - such as olive, almond, vegetable oil. ANY oil can break down a condom. Essential oils can eat through furniture finishes, melt plastic and paint. I would NOT trust any condom in the presence of any oil, regardless of what condom was made out of.

Just mix the cinnamon with Astro Glide. And why you're at it, add a drop or two of jalopeno juice.

Rogueswitch -> RE: Cinnamon Oil and Condoms (12/31/2006 2:12:43 AM)

im sure you can buy heated lubes , may or may not have the same effect, also you can buy heat condoms , worth a try

I might recommend toothpaste for that much area.

That way the screaming will be to a lesser degree.

you forgot to add the sharp hardened feely finger condom that scrapes as it moves about. ;)

Reminds me of the lady that liked Ben Gay for a lube.
Putting my chem tech hat on... most petroleum based oils will dissolve latex.  With cinnamon oil, it would depend on what oil was used to fix the ester.
You can always make your own cinnamon oil that would not affect a condom.  Ethanol and glycerine should do, soak cinnamon sticks in everclear for a few weeks.  remove the alchohol taking the ester with it and mix with glycerine or water based gel.  <read k-y for a brand name.>  Might be worth experimenting.
I've done the cinnamon ester extraction but for another use... made my own Drambuie.

It would not be the cinnamon ester getting to the condom, but the oil if it were petroleum based.  Could also do an empirical test, put some of your supply of oil in a condom and let it sit for a day or so and see if the latex gets softened.

Taking off the alchemy hat,
Steven

G'evening...

In place of the cinnamon oil... I'd suggest you get some ginger root. clean and peel it.. place it in ice water for a bit.. you can grate it and mash it into a paste if you'd like, and use that instead. It's very intense while applied, but the sensation goes away after removal. It's also very accomodating to full insertions... both vaginal and anal (never use the same piece for both, no spreading of body bacteria allowed here..)

That's my two cents...

MD
