BD123 -> The One (12/27/2006 8:53:40 AM)

In many of the posting the term "The One" is used by both sub and slave; that they are looking for or have found "The One".
The question is how does one define "The One". Is one born natural or can over time learn or develope this trait?

The term "The One" stands for the person the sub or slave decides to give themselves to. LOL it's like going steady in the BDSM world sort of.

They cane be either born or trained to be a Dom or Master and have the ability to be someone's one.

There are many about that will find their 'One' many times,out here.  Don't know why they call them their 'One' ,  for some it should be their 'Eleven'  for some even more.

That would only be possible in a poly family with 11 Doms still with the sub.

OMG........please forgive my off-topic but I just gotta.

Ron, did you ever watch that mountain man tv programme, I think it used to be on Sunday mornings. I think it was called Grizzly Adams, his buddy the traveling old mountain man with the burros he named by number. I cannot remember what the one was for most of the show...maybe number seven.

So yeahhhhh, now I am seeing cute lil sub/slaves being led around by a rope and braying like a donkey......

Yes, Dan Haggarty and the old guy from The Dukes of Hazzard as well as (something something Darling on Mayberry).......well I never watched a whole show but yeah.

It depends on how you define "The One". Is it like The One a gal gives her virginity to? Well then it is over used. If it is just to state The One they are presently giving themselves to, well that is different I suppose.

I do not like the term myself... it seemingly comes with baggage and unnecessary expectations.

sub4hire -> RE: The One (12/27/2006 11:39:36 AM)

In my vocabulary "the one" does not exist.  Primarily because people are flawed and for a person to be "the one" means that person would have to be perfect for you.
Nobody will ever reach those expectations in life.  Aside from the fact you are losing out on so much if you search and search to die alone.

We need to learn to take the good with the bad and go with someone we can love and be loved by.  Someone we are compatible with.
I am with the love of my life though he is far from anybodies "one"

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: The One (12/27/2006 1:31:33 PM)

I think if more people made themselves their own "One" that we'd be better off overall.

Not that relationships are bad, simply that they cannot last without whole people to go into them.

BRNaughtyAngel -> RE: The One (12/27/2006 1:34:08 PM)

For me, the "One" would be that person who ~hopefully~ becomes your lifemate.  And in my case, my hopes are that the Master/slave relationship is with my "One".  I want the whole enchilada with one person - love, romance, spankings, bondage, etc. (too much to list) [:)]

Do I believe there is only one "One" for each person?  Nope, but I think we're damned lucky to find our "One" and for them to feel we're their "One" too.  [sm=mrpuffy.gif]  Did that make sense?  Ahahahaha [sm=lol.gif]

LaTigresse -> RE: The One (12/27/2006 1:56:33 PM)

Now that I thinnk about it I agree with LA totally. I think to even begin to put the burden of being my "one" on someone else is wrong. Yes I believe there are special people that come into our lives that we feel a deep connection with but there is a point that we have to be responsible to ourselves for ourselves, regardless of who does or does not come into our life.

Cutiepie74019 -> RE: The One (12/27/2006 2:08:08 PM)

 from my perspective"The One" is some one wo a slave or submissive dovoses himor herself to comepletly and totally  the one person that they can imagine sepnding the rest of their lives with in the past i have met people who have had masters/ mistresses who wernt the one who were only theyre to gide them and give them that support
