I have never had any problems with my blood pressure--as a matter of fact, it generally runs 90/55 which is very low but mainly because of the herbs I take and my thyroid condition my doctor tells me...However, when I get very upset or excited my nose will bleed alot...I have a doctor appointment for next week but I'm just wondering, could the nose bleeds and flushing in the face have something to do with my blood pressure? I checked my blood sugar when this happens and my sugar is very normal...just wondering...

Yes~!
 
Nose bleeds AND flushing in combination are often associated with blood pressure - although it is most often associated with high blood pressure or blood thinning chemicals (aspirin is one) and/or a combination of the two.
 
Definitively get your doctor's input... there are several really nasty things it can be - and, you really really do want to get it seen after.

Dont know what herbs you take but many of those cause the symptoms you have or increase BP. Definatley see a doc.

i take asprin and plavix and usally don't have high blood pressure (unless going to the drs). i have had a couple nose bleeds that they say came from my blood pressure being high and my nose dry.so yes i would say see your dr. also you can get one of those little blood pressure machines for at home. they do work well.

 Ginko and Green tea are two of the herbs that I know of that can cause nosebleeds. Fish Oils can also do it.
Like LoD stated high BP is usually associated with nosebleeds, not low BP. Definately something to discuss with your MD.
Have you cross referenced your herbs in the Herbal Physicians Desk Reference or consulted an heral specialist ?  Just like Western Medicine, you shouldn't take herbs without knowing their properties and interactions with other medicines, herbs and physical conditions.

I would suggest that you read the leaflet that comes with your medications.  The plavix could be related to your nose bleeds.

Well, a nose bleed is not a definite result of blood pressure problems, although it could be. Nose bleeds can be caused by a large number of things, thin blood, diabetes, allergies, sinus infection, medication, blowing the nose too hard, picking the nose, injury to the nose, dry weather, or any other number of diseases.

Although nosebleeds have always been listed as a possible sign of high blood pressure, i have never actually been able to find a single good medical study to support that concept.  i have also been unable to find any consistent physiologic explanation for the phenomena since nose bleeds are typicallly venous in origin and veins are unaffected by blood pressure.  Even in severe high blood pressure venous pressure is very low.  As the poster above pointed out numerous conditions may led to frequent nose bleeds.  In view of your location JK and the time of year one very likely possibility is dryness from the combination of heating the dry air of winter.  Also certain medications especially aspirin and other anti-platelet agents, and the same can be true with certain herbs.  There can be a venous weakness that can be easily cauterized too.  First though i would ask how severe the nosebleeds are?  if they are only small bleeds then there is probably not a lot worth doing beyond a saline nasal spray to moisturize the nasal lining, if they last over 15 minutes or require ER visits then something should definitely be done.

Not necessarily to the OP, but...
 
I've had minor nosebleeds for ages, usually dryness-related.  My GP said I have some weak vessels which he could cauterize...but no guarantee that others would not take their place.
 
He suggested using petroleum jelly in the nose at bedtime.  It seems to help quite a bit with the dryness.
 
But, I would not advise skipping the visit to the doc...any unexplained bleeding is a bad thing IMO.
