Status: offline 		I recieved an email from a very nice person here on CM <smiles>  And they suggested that a thread like this would be good. 

I would like to preface what i feel about submission with a few words.  I dont always allow myself to feel my submission, sometimes i fight it and sometimes i out right deny it, sometimes alot of things.   I think that as humans in this ever flowing world can get caught up in everything else that is going on.  i know i certinatly do, quite often.  I get caught up in myself, my own take on right and wrong, my never ending worries, the never ending of lifes workings and sometimes i lose something that is so wonderful to me.  I take the beauty of it all away from myself.  I have a very patient and understanding Master who see's all this and takes me aside to remind me of what i am missing out on.  This time, some one commenting on my own words, reminding me of what i have taken away from myself.  (once again... lol)

In my case my subduing my ego and will brings certain reward. I know if I give these up, what I receive in return is better.

Sometimes the trial of laying aside my will feels like release - when you stop fighting and relax it gets peaceful inside.

For me, it feels small and expansive at the same time.
There is something about powerlessness that makes me feel vulnerable, but the vulnerability carries with it a certain feeling of freedom, not a sense of weakness.

Status: offline 		"Submissiveness" to me is my state of mind 24/7.  I am polite, respectful and fully aware of my position at all times, be it emotional, political or physical. That is not to say I am one that can be walked on by any and all I encounter in my day to day life.  Actually, quite the opposite, and God help anyone that mistakes my good manners for weakness! 

My submission is what I feel when my Sir or Master (when collared) communicates with me, in any way.  It is instantaneous, especially in person.  My knees become weak.  It has taken great strength to not drop to my knees in public places it is inappropriate!  My whole body will quiver.  I can't lift my head, so looking him in the eyes is not an issue!  I can't breathe.  My voice becomes so soft I barely speak above a whisper.  My only concern, my only reason to be is to serve.  I hope I have been able to add to the discussion.

Status: offline 		It makes me feel very safe and vulnerable at the same time (if that makes sense). because I have to trust someone enough to deliver myself into their care - yet have no idea, ultimately, what they could end up doing to me.

But - I've stopped being concerned about it enough to really be able to "let go". It is because of that it is a freeing experience for me.That much trust is so deliciously safe for me to feel - because I do trust the other person will not utterly devastate me - I know ultimately, they know what they are doing, so I won't be. 

It can also sometimes make me feel very dependent and helpless.
Because, my emotional defenses have somewhat or petty much) evaporated, and I feel like someone with transparent skin.

This might not sound like it makes sense - but to me it does.

That's why I rarely use the term "Feel submissive" I tend to say "feel the submissive fuzzies" where "fuzzies" can be any sort of happy/yummy place that happens to be construed as submissive by that person.

I know a Mistress who is more of a friend at this point who, when we first chatted online she asked me how I felt when we were saying "Goodnight."  I told her that I felt very submissive.  We did not talk about anything overtly sexual but she has a way about her that, to this day, makes me feel weak, small, and accepting of her supremacy.
