Do you do any different variations?

I didn't hate it. It was new and definately different.

I'd do it again if Sir wants. But then again I figure you should always try things more then once unless it causes severe unpleasantness the first time. Like allergic reactions or so forth.

I enjoy figging but find that a little Ben Gay is much easier and has a similar effect.

SirDiscipliner69 -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/4/2007 3:40:37 AM)

Glad you did.
http://figging.com/ link was given to Me about a year ago by an accomplished submissive who seems to have extensive knowledge and enjoyment of the art of figging.

While I am sure there are other sites out there it seemed that http://figging.com/ to be the most comprehensive and extensive ( hence the name ;)  ) as I found My curiosity of the subject and methods to be satiated there rather than looking else where.

One thing that eludes Me is if there are different variety types of ginger root like there are in with chile peppers and are they rated within the Scoville units.

Chile hotness is rated in Scoville units in which the "Heat Range" and a Sweet Bell pepper has a Scoville unit rating of  0 where as a Jalapeno ranges from 2,500 - 8,000 and the Pure Capsaicin is scorching 15-16,000,000. Yikes!

I use to kid and taunt some submissives that if they did not shape up they were in line for a Jalapeno supository. ;)

Without googling I will ask if are there such a range of ginger roots and which might be the most sought after say as in an Asian food market?

Some use toothpaste as a primer also.

I love figging. I'm not sure of any variances in root in regards to degrees of effect,  other than what I've read regarding the freshness of the root.
However, even though i am not currently in a relationship nor indulging with any play partners, i found myself eyeing the root...and couldn't resist buying one , while in the produce section of  the health food store down the block last week.
Not sure if that was wishful thinking or just a crazy compulsion that i couldn't resist.

Of course now I'm even more "aware" of that little root in the fridge, and will certainly be googling to see if there are additional varieties to be had.

I've heard that a dab of cinammon oil puts ginger to shame.  Not brave enough to try it though.  [:)]

Figging is fun!!  In addition to the other home 'heating' substitutes previously mentioned, "Tiger Balm" does a wonderful job !!

Wow that's news to me, might be interesting to try out. I do enjoy ass play so.

carolsea -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/16/2007 11:53:46 PM)

Yikes - all this talk about substances which cause an allergic reaction in me, no matter where they're put!  Just be careful and don't spring it on someone who is super sensitive or sensitive to capsaicin... or eucalyptus... or menthol.... or....

lol

Aubre -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/17/2007 7:35:31 AM)

If the subject has a fair complexion or is a redhead - think twice about chemical irritants (Ben Gay, cinnamon oil). Their skin is more sensitive and you can do long-term damage of the most unfortunate sort. I'd stick with the ginger root.

aslv2kneel -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/19/2007 12:54:50 PM)

why is that figging has absolutely nothing to do with figs in a biblical sense one must ponder - however as for figging - ginger is incredible and not just in a gilligan's island kinda way - ginger is my new best friend

sub4hire -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/19/2007 1:35:37 PM)

It isn't something I enjoy.  Never met a person in real life who did either.

Odd when online so many people like so many things that you just never run into.

I do know several dominants who like to use it as punishment in real life.

indybbwsubbie -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/19/2007 1:42:11 PM)

This girl's Master has only done it on her once  - but WOW!!!  Signing up now for round #2!!!

Im not a fan.
I have met people in real life who enjoy it.

The worst Ive ever had there was 100% habanero pepper sauce. I bought it for my Daddy because he likes hot sauce and I thought the name "PAIN 100%" was funny and cute.

It ain't so funny and cute now.

Missokyst -> RE: How many enjoy figging? http://figging.com/ (1/19/2007 2:55:00 PM)

Figging is nice, comfy, and a tad erotic.  But be very careful.  Some people may have a severe allergic reaction to ginger root.  Make sure you find out about that before inserting it in anyone.

So what did you find out?

Did you determine the method that you find most comfortable?

Capsaicin I believe is related to the nightshade family right? Peppers?
