Igt is  really interesting how the emails back and forth happen and then the sub just drops the ball and we Dommes don't hear from him again.  Happens to me, too, on this and other sites. I even back tracked on another site and wrote a bunch a letters saying, "hey do you ever want to meet for coffee or what?" Hardly got any response.  Guess they just like writing emails.

They just like to pretend to have a girlfriend, I think they get off on "any" kind of response, negative/positive, "hello"...LOL    Anything that isn't on a computer screen, they can't handle it.

Put's fear of committment in a whole new catagory...lol

Venusflames -> RE: maybe BDSM isnt for me... (1/7/2007 2:19:31 AM)

I met my first Domme last week in a public place and made sure someone was aware of where I was in case anything untoward should happen.  Bearing in mind i'm not 100% sure that 'sub' is my role as yet, I was excited and willing to find out.  I was alas quite disappointed as I felt in control of the whole evening.  The decisions were all for me to make and all the compliments were coming my way.  I have to admit that I wasn't as taken by him as perhaps he was with me, but I would have given it time to see if there was something to mould as it were.  Alas he wasn't as responsive after the date, even though he said he thought I was more than he had imagined.   I decided to knock it on the head as my role here was defintely not 'sub' and he at no point suggested he was willing to take that role on.

I have to say I did wonder if I was meant for the BDSM life, but then I thought I would put it down to experience and realised that pesonalities are very important.  I need a very confident man who is highly intelligent to keep me in check and show me the way.  Or as someone in the chat room suggested look at being 'bottom' instead.  I still need to look into this further to fully understand the meaning, but I believe it means im able to have an opinion?

Point is, strive forward and learn from the experience.
