To me, some of them just look like elaborate choker necklaces.  The Grand Victorian and Spiked Majesty, specfically.  The spikey Vampire ones?  A little collar-ish.  The rest come across as collars and not chokers to me though.

But when does a band-type choker necklace become a "collar"?  When it has a loop for a leash or other attachment?  A lock?  

Who knows?  All I know is that the Spiked Majesty collar/choker is nothing short of exquisite!

But, wear what you want to wear.  Even if you are a dominant who wants to wear a collar or collar-ish neckpiece.  At best your body language and other subtle cues will clue in people as to your dominance.  At worst you will have to explain that no, you are not sub, but really like the look of the neckpiece; and being dominant, you get to wear whatever your heart desires.

Worried that someone will mistake you for a slave?
Not only is some Steel neck armor smart in various situations it can be Very flattering!
If someone doesn't understand it right away, they will quickly.

Honestly, if I were a female dominant or acting a dominant to another, I would probably wear one. Why? Because I love and adore choker style necklaces. [:)]

Surely being a Domme comes from within and what One wears makes no difference? I'm just as in charge in pink pyjamas thanks! And yes, I have a lovely collar/choker with a cascade of chains dripping off it that looks lovely with My kink wear  [;)] Interestingly no-one has made the mistake of thinking that I'm anything but Dominant when I wear it!

I think that some of these designs would be beautiful to wear
at a party or club.  The more ornate ones would get in my way
during a Scene.  I see nothing wrong with having accessories for
your evening wear. [:D]
