It's just about time for the election of this years Hall of Famers for professional baseball. Two men are absolute locks to get in: Tony Qwynn and Cal Ripken Jr. But another, Mark McGwire, may not get in due to being suspected of steroid use.

"Fraid I've always thought of baseball as "organized loitering." If they ever change the rules to let players take the bat around the bases with them, somebody send me an e-mail.[:D]

LOL Rich, or maybe let the defensive team use force as the players round the bases, kinda wake things up a bit.

Good evening, twice [;)]. Ripken (and Gwynn) will have no problems getting in; in fact, they may get the highest percentage of votes ever. Great players, and great guys.

I have been lucky enough to attend 1 baseball game. All I can say is that if it wasn't for the free beer at the time, I would not have attended.
Now curling...there's a sport! There is just something magical about a team of people hurling stones down a sheet of ice.

Yes Ripkin and Gwynn were not only great players but class acts also.
