You are a very gifted artist. Your work is lovely. :) People are something I've never been able to paint well. Is most of your paintings done in watercolor or have you worked with other mediums? Have you ever tried airbrush?

Thank you for the compliments. I haven't tried airbrush but I just saw some stunning bdsm themed airbrush artwork on a website. Very lifelike. The colored paintings are watercolor or oils. I really love the vivid color of oils and the depth of watercolors. I'd love to see some of your work! I really enjoy looking at other people's creations.

Thank you. I hope to have some of my work posted at my website soon. Mine is more vanilla though. :)

Airbrushing is easy. Once you learn to handle the brush some of the textures and illuisions you can create with it are incredible. You can use "masks" to mark off certain areas you're working on as well making it easier to work on certain things. Blending is easy as well.

When I airbrushed I would use mixed mediums. Normally I would use acrylic, but also found that watercolors through the airbrush did some wonderful results. I would also "splatter" paint, using the tooth brush and tempra or regular acrylics.

Airbrushes are rather cheap these days as well. If you do start with an airbrush just make sure you take into account the usual overspray, but it's easy to make a cheap shield for that. Cardboard works nicely.

There are a lot of wonderful books out there on learning how to airbrush. I'm self taught, but still have so much more to learn. I really should get back into it now that my son is much older. I miss painting. :)

Do you have the URL of the airbrush site you visited? I've love to go there. I enjoy seeing others work.

The airbrush artist site is http://www.stateofgracegraphics.com/

I decided to try a landscape to donate for an auction to raise money for breast cancer research and it looks like a 4 year old did it! Its horrible...kinda amusing to me. KINDA....LOLOL

Thanks for the info on airbrushing!

Very nice site. Thank you for the URL. :)

If you'll teach me how to draw humans, I'll teach you how to draw landscape. :) Landscapes are easy, humans on the other hand...well...difficult to make a person look just right. A tree, well, they go whatever way nature insists they go. :)

I remember when I first started out, I did realistic. I painted it as I saw it. I also had a rough time of thinking of anything different. It took me lots of effort just to be able to think a certain way in order to do fantasy work, but I believe it to be some of my best work.
