Darthbetta -> A "worthwhile collar".... pick yours yet ? (2/25/2005 9:30:19 PM)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4961857886&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

this was given to my collared sub/ Kajira this past month on our one year anniversery.

With all the options and choices out there, I felt this was the best one for our relationship.

HOW ABOUT YOU ?

show us :)

Beautiful!

I have a similar one, a friend of ours is a silversmith, and he created mine using Herkermer {?} diamonds ( a exquistely clear crystal mined in NY state).

Heres to more years together!

I was VERY VERY lucky that the Owner allowed me to choose my collar from a selection.

So I chose the green nylon collar with rhinestones from PetSmart. It's PERFECT.

And he put it on me as we walked to the car in the parking lot.

We're not big on ceremony :)

Sorry, no pics - but I make my own. The first was sewn closed, and had to come off because of (minor) injuries in a car accident. The replacement for that and the second collar were both simple black leather with custom tooling.

The one you picked is certainly pretty, though. Congratulations on the anniversary!

i have a permanent collar that Master placed on me nearly a year ago. It is a simple steel chain with a heart shaped (lockable) lock that is on my left ankle.

As far as what goes around my neck...well...that is where fun and variety come in. i generally where small pretty looking choker necklaces out in the world. At home, i have a hand-tooled simple back leather collar (about 1/2 inch wide) with an 'O' ring in the front.

all my best

krikket -> RE: A "worthwhile collar".... pick yours yet ? (2/26/2005 7:48:42 AM)

For 5 years i proudly wore a small pair of gold handcuffs (charm sized) around my neck on a long chain. I always found it kinda neat that in all that time i only had one person ask me the significant of the cuffs. <grins> Except during some surgery, i wore them every day, replacing the chain 4 or 5 times..lol

i think it's whatever works best for the couple involved..and congrats and best wishes on your anniversary. i hope it's lovely with many more years to come for y'all :)

thats a nice one...

I was thinking of making a hydrolic press collar... Start with a straight polised piece of steel 3/4 to 1 inch wide, perhaps 1/8 inch thick. Each end has a whole, or hook set. Have a set of hydrolic rams, to bend the piece of steel around a subs neck. Once in place a long pin is inserted in one side of the collar, then bent around to go thru the other side of the collar. and then to form up at the top ... This loop is whould be about a 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch, at the front of the collar and would be a place to attach leashes, etc...

Of coarce thats just a fantasy, If I where to find a neck to do that too, and then get the equipment to do it with...

Hmmmm...well Hydraulics are kind of bulky and heavy.

They make very small electric (battery) powered actuators now for all kinds of applications.
They're less heavy and you could put the batteries anywhere.

I think your idea could be possible.

To me...I like the feeling of HER hands putting a collar around my neck.
The sensory side of it is important to me...as it is to her im sure.

Calgary is an Oil/Gas town. There is a machine for high preasure pipe fitting that does exactly this. They wrap a band of steel around a joint and then weld the edges above and below the joint, so now the joint isnt the weakest point on the pipe.

An eletric machine would need very powerful motors to bend a piece of steel. Hydrolics can exert the same amount of force with a less expensive machine...

Sissyslave71 -> RE: A "worthwhile collar".... pick yours yet ? (2/26/2005 5:48:13 PM)

Oh....

Mabye I misunderstood.

I thought you meant a steel collar that was hinged and could be open and closed automatically by use of a device.

Now I see what you mean.

wow... I actualy took Somnovi there to the diamond mines over this summer, and we stayed at the KOA across the street. I had been there about 15 years ago as a boyscout, and still ave a few nice diamonds from then still locked in the matrix. This time it was very rainy, but we still had a blast, and the last day we were there we went to the mines and we found a few really great quartz nuggets of value and decent size.

She got one of them as a Christmas gift this year on a nice silver center ring band as a necklace pendant.

Somnovi is this Masters' Diamond, and she shines brighter than any chunk of compressed dinosaur dung and mineral deposit that had to be chipped from bedrock.

I think that was a nice compliment..... perhaps my words were a tad "off" .... /me thinks perhaps..... [:D]

christne -> RE: A "worthwhile collar".... pick yours yet ? (2/27/2005 12:54:59 PM)

We found mine in a small silver boutique in Boulder Colorado several years ago... We later came to find out it is a John Hardy design... one of these days I'll have to have a picture of it taken... it's stunningly simple and looks like a collar but no one realizes it does if they're not in the 'know'!

Congrats on your year anniversary... we just recently celebrated our 6th.

Id love to see that.

This is the best collar I have yet seen. The key is a magnetic ring worn by the Dom/me.

Check it out and see what you think.
