In my search for an ass-kickin pair of knee-high black boots, I'm just not having the luck.
I cannot spend as much money as I'm finding them for!

I can't tolerate high heels, either.

Am I sunk?

You might try http://www.wide-calf-boots.com/ .  I've also seen some knee-high boots in wide widths at www.payless.com .

Be well,
Julie

Try Victoria's Secret. I got a catalogue of their's in the mail recently (for a former occupant of my address) - and they had some surprisingly sexy, downright kinky looking boots in there, all massively marked down. Maybe there.. if you hunt through their website to look for knee high boots... the heels aren't too high and some do have stretch calves/come in larger sizes.

Good luck.

Try Torrid online which has some plus size variations of Hot Topic.  You can find some interesting clothing at times in the stores but they do have the EDGE line online.  I did get some lace up knee high boots very inexpensive.  Give that a try and also check out some of the goth sites.

If you are just looking for ones that go to the knee, try Woman Within
and Silhouettes

I'm not sure if you'll find what you want since its not quite boot season anymore (although that might mean a good price on something you like.)

They do have some nice items (with lower heels or no heels at all) but its hard to say since I have no real idea of the style you want.  Both carry a good selection of wide calf boots.

I have some nice pvc platform, knee high laceups, in a size 12 made by "morbid threads" and they were on sale when I got them for only $90. Try searching ebay. I have large feet, anywhere from a 10-12 depending on the shoe. I've also had great success with UK Underground brand (also known as gripfast) but those are real leather and way more expensive. Again, ebay, something used but in good condition might be better for your price range.

Doh sorry. Missed the part about can't tolerate high heels.

What about riding boots? Try a tack store and see what they have on hand. Otherwise they can order special sizing. Ariat is especially well known for offering English riding boots small, average or tall with narrow, average or wide leg choices. You can get the pull on ones or the ones with a hidden zipper in the back, unnoticable when worn and much easier to get on and off. Not totally flat but a wide heel of about an inch or so.

I have had a problem with that as well, and I LOVE high heels!  Don't big women deserve sexiness, too?  I had found a pair that were great, but i've worn them for a few years and they need replaced.  I found them at Famous Footwear in my town, so who knows if I'll find any more.  I am not holding my breath.  :(  I wish you the best of luck.

LoveTheCollar:

You might look at:

Front lacing wide boots

These we've bought and liked a lot (we got the poly instead of the patent):

Back lacing wide boots

Both well under $100 US.

One advantage subs have - they can wear these boots without being able to stand in them. They also keep the knees from getting carpet burn.

What price range to you want to stay within?

As someone who rides, I'll mention that I had a HELL of a hard time finding knee high riding boots that fit a plus sized girl...even the "wide calf" ones with a zipper I bought had to be altered and were never comfortable to walk in ( could ride in them but literally had to put them on right before I mounted and take them off the minute I hit the ground). That said, I didn't try Ariat...mine were devonaire, so maybe the Ariats are better.

I found some really cute knee high vinyl boots from Hot Topic that lace up the back (giving a lot of room for a bigger leg, because you can loosen the laces a LOT). They were $49 originally and I got them on clearance for $23. The heel was a *little* high for me but it was do-able (I'm not good in heels either).
 This is the only pic I have of them (can't see the lacing in back).

SoftVirgo -> RE: Plus-size tall boots?? (3/12/2007 8:33:14 PM)

Was able to find some plus size tall boots on PierreSilber.com.  And have been enjoying them!  Thigh high and sexy, too!

LadyLizDomina -> RE: Plus-size tall boots?? (3/30/2007 12:11:40 AM)

hello,
I am a size 11 wide and a bbw and this is what I have done:
I purchased a small pair of  PVC pants. I cut the legs so that they are thigh high from the bottom. I have several in different textures. I wear shoes and then I put on the "cheaters" and we get an instant thigh high boot! If you wish you can put in gormets and lace up the "boot". I find it an economical and practical way of getting thigh high boots. One of the benefits is that my sub is a third of my weight and he has a lot of pvc and leather shorts that come out of my "cheaters"

Take Care

Lady Liz

SweetDommes -> RE: Plus-size tall boots?? (3/30/2007 2:23:59 AM)

I got my knee-high boots at Pricilla's a few years back - they were about $45, and look similar Geekygirl's in style except that they lace up the front.  My solution to having a bit of a gap in the front of them when I put them on?  Stockings that are the same color as the boots (black, for mine), and/or dresses that go at least to mid-calf.

I have to admit though, I'd much rather have lower heels LOL

Domin8tingUrDrmz -> RE: Plus-size tall boots?? (3/30/2007 3:38:16 AM)

Fast reply...

http://www.heelsforyou.com/Knee-Boots_pg2.htm  this site lists the boots from size of heel starting at 3 1/4 and lower up to 8 inch heels.  I bought a pair from them and purchased them one size larger than what I purchase in department stores...they fit great.

http://www.super-sexy-high-heels.com/knee_high_boots_pg2.htm  this site changes periodically, some times they have lower heels, other times not.

Here is a 3 inch heel knee boot on clearance.  Not sure if it's your style, but very inexpensive.
http://www.super-sexy-high-heels.com/Clearance-Size-12.htm

Edited to add the clearance shoe.
