What do you all use to carry your toys from place to place? I find it all ends up in a cluttered mess in my backpack. Any suggestions?

Thanks

We use a carry on sized suitcase with wheels. I've seen people who use long metal or plastic gun cases too.
For crops & canes there are long tubes (the size of mailing tubes) I think are for blueprints or arrows.

Roll your floggers up in towels*, plastic bag for odds and ends, get one of those soft first aid kits so you don't have to go searching for your supplies and, depending on how many toys you've got, you might want to nix the backpack and go with a suitcase on wheels.

*Himself and I have a girlfriend who actually made us clothe flogger sleeves.. super quick and easy to make and keeps them from getting tangled when we travel, but it's the same principle as rolling them up in towels.. plus, with towels, well.. you have towels and no one should travel without a towel. ;)

For my smaller items, I have a really large cosmetic bag that I got for free as a gift when I purchased some perfume at a department store.  I can fit my leather cuffs, gags, small crop, and small floggers in there.

Be well,
Julie

I bought Thorns a hardshell golf bag on wheels.  With a few modifications of adding breakaway clips to the inside for hanging floggers/canes...etc.  It makes a fantastic "Toy Bag".

My bag looks like an Airplane Pilots bag. It has many compartments so my stuff is sperated in catagories. Has lock on it. About the only thing that does not fit in it is my cane.

We use a very large gym bag, room enough for everything that has to go into it. I took inexpensive fishnet stockings and cut the legs off and small hole at the toe and use them for flogger covers, it allows air get to the materials to kill germs and keeps them from tangling, works great and you can get them in any color *wink*  For crops and canes, I took my rarely used pool cue out of its cloth case and use it. Walking into a place, we look like a couple of mighty athletes....  hm, I guess you can say we are. hehehe

We use a green backpack or a pink duffel bag.  Backpacks are much easier to maneuver and have lots of pockets, and I love pink and it stands out amongst all the black.

My ex used to haul at least 3 huge black bags to a party- you never use half of it and it all gets disorganized.

I use a suitcase. Doesn't stand out when travelling and flips wide open for easy use. Though I find that it works best to plan the play and not bring everything.

My "general" toy bag is a dufflebag Inside this, my floggers are rolled in a towel to keep them neat and protected. My rope bag is an old overnight bag and the ropes are individually coiled. My fire bag is a duffle bag, but different color (it's red...heheh) and all the glassware is wrapped in newspaper and it includes a fire extinguisher. My canes are carried in a telescoping blueprint/art tube. My needles/piercing supplies are in a tackle box. My whip is in a case I made that's similar to what jumper cables would be carried in (it's coiled up for transport). My little bag full of art stuff and suckers is in a big purse with cute kittens on it.

As a tip: Buy a small flashlight, like a mini mag light, and attach (mine has a wrist strap) it somewhere you can find it in the dark. There's nothing worse than rummaging through a toy bag in the semi-dark of a dungeon with no light!

Yes!  I was quite delighted when BR04 chose a small flashlight as one of the "favors" in their welcome packets.

Master Archer has a rolling hard travel golf case that we have modified to carry many of our toys. Floggers, whips, crops and other long toys hand from hooks. Two caboodle boxes fit in the bottom to hold bits and pieces.

Our fireplay kit is separate and large. The rolling toolbox contains everything needed for extreme fireplay including a fire extinguisher.

Needleplay and cutting items are in a carry box with lits of compartments.

If we need just a few floggers or other toys we do have a leather bag to use for short term.

Carrying toys and storage of toys can be two different concepts. While many people do carry their toys in a duffle bag or packed into a suitcase that is not the best storage method.

Leather is porous and needs to breathe. Floggers are best stored hanging. Use a cotton covering if possible (pillowcase or specially made flogger storage bag). You should store your leather in an airy, dry area that is not too hot or cold and certainly not damp. Do not store in direct contact with the flow of heating vents or near heating units and avoid direct sunlight as this will dry and fade leather. Avoid storing any leather items in plastic bags, plastic containers, tight drawers, car trunks, bathrooms or packed jumbled into a toybag or toybox.

We have tried a number of travel bags. Currently we are using a modified guitar case. beth's sown a few 'D Rings' at the top of the neck and it allows the floggers to hang nicely; other rings are strategically placed hanging other smaller items. We bought one with a few pockets on the outside that we use for blindfolds, clips, and such.

While walking down the street with it, dressed up for a party, people think we are "with the band".

I have found that one of those new nylon/canvas  tool bags with all the pockets inside  and lots of bottom space is doing the job. I also like the fact that its equiped with a shoulder strap and  locking zippers. They  some times have places to "attach things on the out side  with little buckels and straps. This is what I used to attach a 3" wide pvc pipe with caps that  is just long enuff to carry my long toys in.

Duffle bag or garment bag with a few compartments.  Garment bags are good if you normally hang floggers and other things on hooks.  Tube with a strap from an art supply for long items that do not fit.  Ordinary kitchen containers for toys that have to be kept clean.  When the toys are cleaned, the containers can be put through a dishwasher, or if necessary thrown out.  Batteries in an outside pocket so the main bag does not have to be opened at an airport security check, no matches or cigarette lighters.

Dear MsKathy, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I have five large gym bags and a fishing pole box.  I carry the gym bags on a luggage carrier that folds neatly away for easy storage.

I have the gym bags dedicated to certain impact tools and or sensation tools and or bondage.

Once the bags are unloaded from the luggage carrier, I put the stretch cords with handles on the extended handle, which have holes.  Then I take 2 belt/neck tie holders and hook them on the highest point of the handle and hang my floggers as if a rack.  I also do this for paddles, quirts, cat-o-nines and the like.  I hate bending over to reach for floggers, etc.

I also carry First Aid kit, flash lights (two), anti-bacterial spray for a spray down of tools, anti-bacterial towelettes.  I also carry a blanket and a few chucks.

For small items I put in zip-lock bags. I place other items in separate bags as to keep them tidy and easy to pluck out.

Overseas travel, I put floggers in a travel trunk/foot locker/steamer trunk like container.  Floggers are hung with nylon hose keeping them tidy tails within.  Single tails I carry in a bag but, I have used two frisbees to coil them in--then tape or, a metal film can.  Long canes, I get an equestrian 'coachman's whip case' (Driving horses) or, in a fishing rod carrying case.  Smaller canes, may go into an archery arrow carrying case, blueprint/mailer tubes and or square gun cases but, in these times--it isn't wise.

If I had the slave help and the storage, I wouldn't mind having a clothes rack on wheels and hang everything, make a hanging platform to lay items down (much like a swing) if needed.  That way one can wheel the tools from site to site within the dungeon and then put away in the walk in closet when not in use or other storage spot for dungeon areas usually in the basement or room.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

I use a bat bag.  The canes go in the bat part, and my floggers go in the ball part.  The koosh flogger gets kinda tangled, but everything else comes out right.

I dont have any delicate equipment like needles or anything like that, though.
