This isn't about doing what your Mistress wants...this is about you expressing yourself in a way that you hope she will percieve as devotional. How a person shows love/devotion and how a person sees love/devotion from another may be two different things.
For example, I tend to show those around me that I love them by giving gifts. How I see that I'm loved, though, is through quality talk. So, to tell my lover I care for him, I'll buy him a CD...for him to tell me I'm important in his life, he talks to me as close to a daily basis as he can.
So, what you need to do is one of two things:
1) Decide that you simply like this for yourself, then do and maintain it for yourself.
OR
2) Find someone who would see this as you saying what you intend it to say. To do that, you'll need to talk to them.
My observations have been that if it's something that's really important to someone, it's really, deep inside, important because they simply LIKE it...and sometimes they have to find a reason to make the action ok. Like me and my short hair...I cut it, at first, to send a negative message to my 2nd husband; I needed the reason of rebellion to make it ok for me to have super-short hair. Now, I realize that I should simply do it becasue I LIKE short hair. And I do. Got it trimmed last week, too.
Just my thoughts.
