Well are you bi or straight or dont care? It is just a personal preference for most. Neither one is better or worse than the other.

Whichever you choose..choose one with previous experience.  it's a great learning tool for a new dominant.

Female:
1. They look better.
2. They smell better.
3. They're more pleasant to be around.
4. They're more graceful.
Look at magazines.  Women's fashion magazines tend to have beautiful women on the cover.  Men's magazines tend to have beautiful women on the cover... It's universal.

I'm cursed with heterosexuality...    But if I were equal parts Bi, I would definitely prefer to be in a relationship with a woman, not for any scientific reason than I have been able to establish wonderful friendships with some very decent/kind women, some of whom have flirted (in real life, not here) on occasion...   M

I don't think gender makes one sub better than the other, it depends upon the individual. Only you know what kind of sub that you want and only you can make that determination. But in the event you can't make up your mind, nothing wrong with having one of each gender.

No and yes.

It actually isn't a matter of sex or gender but a matter of the person and how well you complement each other.

One of the great things about being bi and being dom is that we really can look for the individual and not be so distracted by the gender and sex issues.

I have trained some women as subs and slaves but we didn't work out for a variety of issues that had nothing to do with our sex or gender. I am good friends with all of them still but most moved away or we discovered they had more service top tendancies.

I say look for a good person, one whom you can have fund with a variety of levels and whose idea of Ds is similar to your own.

I dont think it makes any different either there are great and shit on either side. I think its more about finding the best individual one for you .
On the occasions ive played with a female sub its been no better or worse than a male, where i had more fun with more breast play i felt like i was missing some cock action lol

I like that answer!!

My opinion is this, if you are not sure then keep your options open. If a female comes along that fits you well, taaaadaaaa!! If a male comes along first and fits well.........there you have it!

Ms chastitybelt,
I think the answer in part, depends on what kind of relationship you are looking for with a sub.  For example, I personally, am only interested in establishing a relationship with a Domme who seeks a LTR with a male submissive.  A Domme who lists in her profile that she is looking for a submissive female, submissive male, or submissive couple is not one that I would contact.  She obviously is not looking for a committed relationship of the kind which I am seeking.

By not knowing what it is that you seek in a relationship with your sub, you may not be able to find the qualities in a sub, either male or female, that is actually the kind you'd like to have, regardless of their gender.  So I suggest you might want to think about the kind of relationship you wish to have with your sub(s), and what you expect to offer them in return.  That might help you decide if you really want a male, female, or both.  If you want more than one sub, that can limit your choices to those who are open to sharing their Domme with others and being involved in poly; a very hard limit for some subs.

The only thing I can add is that are more male subs floating around than you can shake a stick at.  Unnattached female subs are not as numerous.
