weird, theyre SO sensitive. D cant even touch. I am not near my period and we have done no play involving them. to my knowledge i am not preggo [take the pill]

do any of you know of a reason for increased sensitivity?

i have them pierced but they have been for years now.

i'd def take a preg. test, just to be on the safe side - it was my mom that told me i was pregnant after we were discussing the doc's appt i had booked for later that day cos my boobs, esp my nipples felt all 'wrong'... i did a test and she was right - so, just to rule it out i'd certainly do a test!

hth xx

yes, unfortunately, i have been preggo before ... this def did not happen [nipples], although i did have THE MOST painful shots of electricity running through my breasts, that was the dead give away.

i have one week until my sugar pills. dont you have to wait till your late to test?

Definatly take a test, my nipples werent sore at all with my first pregnancny but def with my second !!
Thouhg i do have times when for no reason at all they really just are sore, it hurt to go out if it was cold i was sure they were going to get so hard they would drop off !!(well it felt like it) and after going to the dr he couldnt tell me anything and it doesnt happen that much so ive stopped worrying but you should definatly get it checked out :)better to be safe than sorry

it's to do with when you ovulated - but a good rule of thumb is just to wait till you're due-ish and test then.
I'd still keep it in the back of your mind - but it might be worth having a word with your doc if the sensitivity doesn't subside or your worry grows..

(just thought - it couldn't be something as obvious as new washing powder/soap/bra?)

Is it just sensitivity there or all over less pain tolerance? And have you recently had some rough nipple play prior to this?

*Editted because i can't spell today

They can get sensitive if you drink a lot of coffee. If you do, back off of the java for about a week and see what happens.

For everyone's information - the period you get when you're on the pill isn't a true, full period because the pill or any other hormonal birth control makes it so the uterine lining doesn't build up all that much, needing to be shed every month. That's why there are the pills formulated to give people only 3-4 of these "pill periods" a year. The only reason they are designed to give monthly bleeding is because that's how they reassured women that the pills were safe when they first came out.

Have you bumped into something recently? Or had any contact that wasn't soft between your nipples and anything else, clothed or unclothed?

You might have banged your nipples against something, the jewelry took a tweak, and now your body is pissed about it. Happens to me all the time when dogs accidentally claw me in the tit, for example. The nipple affected gets angry and swells up, possibly leaks some fluid out of the piercing holes for a few days, then gets over it. Could this possibly be it?

Had a similar problem recently.  In my case the increased sensitivity was due to a pimple or infected duct, not exactly sure which.  Warm soaks, GENTLE cleaning with soap and water a few times a day, and I used tea tree oil (yes it burns/tingles a bit but I was willing to try ANYTHING).  In a few days the nipples were back to normal.
