From the NIAID report...
(You know - the people who helped fund studies)

quote:

These NIH studies have focused on populations in Africa, where the infection rate is high and where heterosexual sex is the predominant mode of HIV transmission. The degree of protection that circumcision may afford for men who have sex with men is unknown. For all of these reasons, the study findings will likely have less of an impact in the United States.

'Nuff said.

I am gonna point out something that NO ONE has choosen or thought to mention. As far as Africa and Aids go, uncut cocks is NOT the reason why the virus is so freakin previlant. IGNORANCE and CULTURE are. Do you know how many women in Africa die from aids alone because they are shunned by their families for having it? Alot. Children are sent to orphnages or left to fend for themselves afterwards. Women who ask their partners to wear condoms are scorned, accused of having the virus and even attacked. AIDS is the big taboo in the dark continent and men are looked upon greatly for their prowess with the women. As far as I know there is no punishment for men who cheat on their wives (ain't that they way of things?) so of course they will continue to sleep around and pass the virus on.

I have an 11 month old son who is uncut. I choose not to do so and even put it down in writing. Anyone care to guess how many times duringmy hospital stay after giving birth I was asked if I wanted him cut? 11. Now of course someone might say were you asked by 11 different nurses ont he roatation of shifts and the answer is no. Anyone who has ever read how the prcedure goes know that it is tramuatizing to the infant. They are strapped or held down and give a local anestethic, they infant still feels it however.

Back to my point. The aids situation will not change until in Africa will not change until AFRICA changes. When AIDS stops being a taboo that no one speaks of and shuns their women and abandons children over, then the epidemic will go into decline. Not before.

Greetings Crimson Moan and welcome to the forums. [:)]

You are very right about behavior being the problem far
more than circumcision.  Glad to know you left your
son's body intact.

Regards,

Vendaval

Thanks Vendaval. I just felt everyone here on both side of the argument were missing the nigger problem with the AIDS epidemic.
