Hm. I may be revealing My ignorance, but why is there a picture of an ice cream cone and the word "vanilla" by My name?

Lucius Alexander

The Palindromedary notes that "vanilla" is a hard limit

On most forums you move up a 'level' when you post so many posts. Those who are vanilla have not made it to the first posting number that is set to move them up from Vanilla to whichever it is. It has nothing to do with the lifestyle. Just a name for the forum levels for posting. One I belong to, you start out as a "Forum Rookie" and then move on up after so many posts are made. They've renamed them to be more lifestyle oriented, that is all.

And on topic, service submissive to me would be someone who would do housework for another. I suppose men think of service as in oral service and then demand that because that word usually goes hand in hand with such things to most. Who knows though.

Lucius, I don't think it was a bad thing that I re-oriented myself away from service.

That particular experience I cited was only one factor in my re-definition, and a particularly frustrating one, but over all I think I'm happier now that I no longer worry about being 'useful' to others.  And, I'm more at ease with being just kinky, as opposed to kinky and saintly.   Its also helped me get balance in other areas of my life.

So its not all bad. :)

Agreeing with the main tone so far:  To me, "service-oriented" is a phrase to differenciate sexual subs from those who provide non-sexual submission.  Doesn't mean they may not also provide/enjoy sexual submission/service, just that it's not their only or main focus.

When searching, I always indicate that I'm searching for a service-sub/slave as I've no interest in someone oriented purely towards sexual submission.  I'm looking for a number of those other duties.
