JerseyKrissi72 -> Loss For Words (1/22/2007 2:13:27 PM)

      I have been spending alot of time on "myspace" working on finding friends from my past, etc etc..I have been searching for my late Master's children (he had two daughters) since he passed away..I came across his daughter Rachel on my space, she is 18 yrs old and living in Florida...I wasn't sure how much information she was given about her father and was stunned to find out NOONE TOLD HER[:@] Her (paternal) grandmother never contacted her and even had her phone number and she lost contact with her mother due to issues of abuse, neglect, etc...I felt so horrible being the one to have to tell her...she wanted details...that brought back alot of pain...All I could do was assure her that even though she and her father had a falling out he loved her so much, carried her pic in his wallet everywhere he went...We were having financial problems and there was alot of stress so he did say some angry words to her and visa-versa but often times in life we do that...

   She just couldn't believe how someone so healthy and strong could die so suddenly..I assured her that he was loved, I did plan to marry him and my children carry a hole in their hearts for him...She called me and we chatted on the phone for about an hour, I wish I was closer to comfort her as I cannot imagine how she must be feeling right now...His mother was such a selfish woman--regardless to how you feel about someone, they have a right to know what happened to their father...

  It's most definately been a difficult day--- I am going out later for a few drinks that are well deserved..sorry to rant on, but I had to get this off my chest..thanks.

Do you see what I meant in that thread a week or so back now, when you were questioning yourself because of what your stepsister said?

Youre wonderful Krissi.

Krissi,

You are right, she had a right to know and her mother was neglectful in not telling her.
You did the right thing, and I am sorry it opened up so many wounds in you as well.

Just know, today you have helped bring some closure to a girl and let her know the truth, that she was loved.

It was my pleasure to read what heartfelt words you had to say about the situation, Krissi. This must have been so hard for you, but it sounds like you did such a terrific job! You didn't have to do what you did, but that is what makes you..you! [:)]
Your words touched my heart today, thank you.
Lady Lexia
