You were a part of My life when I didn't want to go on. You gave Me strength, helped Me learn right from wrong.
You took My hand when all I could do was weep. Your words were My anchor touching My life so deep.
You were My Rock, always there and so strong. You were the One reassuring Me that Yes I belonged.
You wiped My tears, always holding Me close. Of all on Our World, I leaned on You most.
There's no way to thank You. There's no need to cry. There's no way I can stop from constantly wondering "Why".
Why did You leave? How could You go? Knowing inside that I loved You so.
Where did You venture? Why couldn't I go too? And mostly did My love mean nothing to You?
Now I wait and I watch as the leaves slowly turn. Praying inside that one day You'll return.
With empty arms and an emptier heart, I move on rebuilding My life from the start.
I have many regrets, My soul filled with remorse. I could not hold You here, not even by force.
Though I know in My heart that I should not cry. I really do wish You'd at least said, "GOODBYE."
