ITS ONLY ONLINE

It’s only online, so it doesn’t matter.
It’s nothing more than incessant chatter.
The hateful responses, oh, it’s just a game.
You can’t hurt their feelings, it’s only a name.

It’s only online. There are no rules to keep.
So it doesn’t matter that they are losing sleep.
It isn’t your fault their marriage is in shreds.
It’s only online. They made their own beds.

It’s only online. So they say they are crying.
It’s only online. So they are probably lying.
It’s only online. Always in a rush or a hurry.
They’re not REALLY real so why should you worry?

It’s only online. Why feel such defeat?
It’s not like you had hoped to one day meet.
He promised forever. Online that’s only one day.
It’s only online. It’s just a game that we play.
