Coins were drawn each from the well
from where they came who can tell.
All shapes and sizes,the wishes too
No matter the coin it may come true.
A wish for luck,love or money
Is it sad?Is it funny?
For daddy to come home or for mom to get better
To kiss a new boyfriend or from an old friend a letter.
As the basin is relieved from its treasures of heart
It was 100 wishes from the start.
How many came true is hard to say
A wishful heart was born that day.
Spare change found in pockets or dishes
Youthful hearts made 100 wishes.
