Ms B, It does seem so that you'd have to be hours from deaths door to get any service an even then you might "die" waiting. I got a new dr one who listens now..

And ML Silk and scarves are not considered safe to playw ith because the knots can slip and tighten with out control. The tooth brush thing depends on the person one here has used them as a vibe an said she was not impressed with them, Others have had varying results. It depends on the person. Now it could be a good tool for humilation if you made them brush their teeth with it after it's been a vagina vibe:P

Actually a silk scarf can be used perfectly safely as a blindfold and also works well as a light breathplay tool when folded and held over the mouth and nose.
They are able to breath through it..but its a little more difficult.

True plus silk feels good on the face. My x put a large wiffle ball in my mouth an tied it in as a gag lol.

I had said silk ties, as in dress neckties. Used for beginners who might get a little anxious at handcuffs or spreader bars. Also, anytime I use a knot in rope, I make sure I use a safe knot, and there are knots that can be made in silk ties where before they slip, the tie itself breaks. I know, I've had several break! <grin>

You are right about the cheap powered toothbrushes, nowhere as good as a proper vibrator. But my point there was that they were cheap to the point of being disposable, and very funny.

i once had a domme who liked to put a mouse trap on the head of my cock as it amused her very much looking at me with this mouse trap hanging from my dick. i made the mistake of saying that it wasnt uncomfortable at all and guess what came next and it wasnt me but a big strong Rat trap which was very uncomfortable. Luckily i didnt have to have that on too long! This is some strong lobbying for people to own cats and get rid of those awful traps.

I used to have rat traps as part of my toybag, but got tired of them and threw them away. You can see a pic of them in use on http://photos.yahoo.com/beachmystresss in the folder called CollarMe Extreme (yes, I know none of those photos are extreme.. it was for another thread about what some people consider extreme.) I'm going to give the same warning I gave on the other thread. The rat traps were used as clamps ONLY. Do not ever release a mouse or rat trap on any part of human anatomy. They are designed to break small bones and will do great damage to a penis if released on it.

Very nice piece of reporting BeachMystress and i thank you very much for your insight to this area of my concern. It sounds like a tens unit would be just what the doctor ordered i guess you might say. Why do they require a prescription i wonder and would you happen to know if you need a permission slip from your doc to purchase one up in Canada?

In the USA, TENS Units are considered a medical device and are supposed to be sold by prescription only. I've no clue about Canada's laws.

IronDipstick -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/6/2005 4:01:52 PM)

Thank you for the advice on mouse and rat traps and i promise to never adorn my penis with one again. i noticed that in your arsenal of toys you included a electric fly swater. i got one of those a couple of years ago but have been to afraid to try it. Have you used one on a sub and what was the reaction they got? i have heard that they really create a good shock. Is that true?

BeachMystress -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/7/2005 12:59:03 AM)

lol, It is the one toy I was too afraid to try on myself. My sub at the time was maso, and insisted I try it on him anyway. He said it was more intense than static electricity and hurt. I liked turning the lights down and watching it. I tried filming it, but it didn't work well with the cam I had.

YES it hurts a lot I have accidently shocked myself with it once an been shocked with it on purpose with out my consent I have fine baby fuzz tactile hair on my lower back an it singed the hair.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/7/2005 2:11:51 AM)

Ms B I have one of the toys on your list. It's a wonderfull dildo with a good flared base, but the vibrating bullet in it is really lame. I've felt better from pure plastic or ones with a motor right in it , which says quite a lot lol. I have the purple one.

IronDipstick -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/7/2005 10:39:23 AM)

i think i will just keep that electric fly swatter out in the garage and unloaded ! Years ago i bought a cattle prod as i was really curious to what one of those would feel like. Was i ever in for a shock, putting it mildly. Luckily i used my half of a brain and tried it out on my hand before putting it where i had planned for it to touch and hot damn did that ever zap me. As i recall and it has been a long time that it resembled sticking your finger into a light socket which is no fun either. i imagine the cattle prod would be like putting old Nemo my one eyed trouser monster head first into a loaded light socket. Anyway Beach Mystress, thanks for the heads up ( no pun intended ) on the fly swatter as i am only going to use it for zapping bugs this summer.

Oh, and may be off of the topic a bit, but I'd love to know if anyone has a good "toy bag".
I have regular Somsonite/Tumi type pull-on baggage.... that is not pretty.
Also, I have "cane/crop" bag/case - bought at Art supply store.

Any Mistress here uses any cute bag?

I use a hard-sided , rolling golf bag. I mounted a wooden piece to the inside of the top part of the case and screwed some eyebolts into the wood. I attatched snap-rings to the handles of my toys and hang them from the eyebolts in the bag...(I should really take a picture of it to give a better idea) but it has worked great.

BeachMystress -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/7/2005 11:27:18 PM)

I actually got one of the silicone ones from Stockroom that was sold at a discount because the vibe was missing. Since these are for use in my sub (male) and most vibe action is in the base rather than the tip where it would send him into orbit, I don't bother with the vibrating ones.

For my own buzzy pleasure, I use a Hitachi. I can not recommend it highly enough. I almost named mine and skipped off to Mexico for a quick wedding. ;-) The are very strong, so don't be expecting to stick this one right on your clit. I place it on my pubic bone, and it works wonders. You can also use it by sticking it on the back of someone's hand as they play with you. The attachments help a bit also.

That golf bag idea sounds pretty good..

My "party" bag is a Kenneth Cole Contrasting Opinions 30" Expandable Upright Suiter (wheeled luggage.) I also have Eagle Creek XXLarge Cargo Duffel (42" x 17" x 16") that fits my entire stash. Of course I can't carry it when it is that full, so I break the stuff inside down into smaller bags, in case I ever have to do my own hauling. There is a regular size green sports duffel that holds all of the dildos. The electroplay items (minus the bug zapper) live in a tapestry purse. There is a red overnight bag that holds the floggers. The paddles live in a purple velvet bag. The clothespins travel in a mesh laundry bag. The random assortments of stuff live in zip lock baggies. Toiletries live in a silver make up case. Zippers live in a blue denim purse. It helps when you know where everything is. There is nothing worse than having an inspiration, and having to dig through 5 bags to find what you want.

am wondering how you transport your toybag or even toys in luggage on airlines as well as AMTRAC on eastcoast

Of course, I don't take 'everything' with me on vacation, but...
Many toys can be placed in your LOCKED suitcase with your other luggage.
Don’t even think of ‘carry-on’!

If I’m going to be staying with friends, I just put the locked toy bag in a box and FedEx or UPS it there. I have accounts set up, so they come and pick up.
I’ve been lucky in that it always arrived in a timely manner and was never damaged or lost. I do insure the contents. And I never ship anything that I'd really hate to lose.
If going to a resort, ask the management if they will accept a package for you. Or try to 'time it' so that it arrives after you are there.

For Weekend Events, I had a friend tell me that she contacted the ‘event coordinator’ and shipped her stuff ahead, also. It’s a hassle because it gets shipped to somebody’s house and then you have to arrange to get it and also to have it shipped back to you.

If you are driving, your toy bag should be in the trunk of your car and locked.
If it’s in the car with you, make sure it is clearly locked and out of your reach when you are in the driver’s seat.
This way, if you happened to get stopped for any reason, the cop or trooper is not going to feel ‘threatened’ that you might be carrying a concealed weapon.
In most cases, he won’t even ask to look in the bag.
If asked what’s in the bag, you do not have to open it. Tell him you’d be happy to show him the contents as soon as he gets a search warrant.
Unless you’ve pissed him off, or have done something to make him suspicious, he is not going to go to the trouble of trying to get a judge to sign a search warrant.

Too true and such wonderful advice!! I also have My items shipped via FedEx or UPS if traveling to an event and the hotels are usually fine, if properly notified, with signing for it and holding the box until My arrival!!

Recently, I was on a vanilla vacation to Aruba but of course, a few essentials needed to make the trip with Me. So using vanilla items like scarves, sleep masks, clothespins, etc., are a must for Me if flying with personal goodies. And, yes, My luggage was opened at customs.... the rope merely looked at but when he touched the tip of a wooden paddle, he looked and merely grinned like a Cheshire cat as he waved Me on through the line!

And, a very embarrassing moment going to the Fetish & Fantasy Ball in Las Vegas, long before the severe luggage checks that occur now, was a strange buzzing sound coming from My suitcase as it came onto the baggage wheel. Well, I watched folks faces wondering what they were smirking about, and I realized exactly what it was when My bag came around toward Me. I simply smiled grandly, grabbed the bag and headed for a corner to quietly open the suitcase and removed the damn batteries from the buzzing object! Lesson learned - carry the batteries separately!! *chuckles*

Truly,

Lady T.

I have read this entire very fun thread. So I do hope I didn't miss is it elsewhere. For local play, don't forget to pack a well-sharpened pair of EMT scissors. In an emergency, which W/we always hope does not occur, there may not be time to undo all the knots.
If traveling by plane, I believe these would have to be in the locked luggage. Can't put them into carry-on.
