ORIGINAL: cjenny Okay folks I have a question for all of you. Do any of you differeniate between wearing a collar and being collared? If I wear a collar while out for an evening why do all of you here assume that means I have collared myself? If I wear a collar while out for an evening and say 'Why yes, I am collared to R' there is a big difference. I do not speak of a chat or online collar such as cjenny{R} but wearing a collar for fashion/self enjoynment/comfort or whatever reason chosen. So why is it always assumed so rapidly, that wearing a collar denotes SELF collaring? Hello. =) Seriously? I wouldn't think much of a collar on anybody, no matter what the surroundings are. It's just not something I'd pay attention to, you know? I have no scene experience.. do doms wear collars, too, just for a fashion statement? Dang, I'm such a "SceneVirgin" lol. what about a slave that doesn't wear one? Is it expected? Cheers, Stella I think the way a sub behaves, denotes the difference between belonging to someone or not...collar or no collar. Beyond that, if approached by a Dom or in conversation with such, politely informing them if you are involved should be sufficient. I would not presume seeing a collar on someone meant they had a Master in and of itself. sarah1
