I would say that at least 75% of the Dominants I know tend to suffer from sleep disorders of one kind or another.  I'm curious as to what others have experienced.  Please just note your preference and whether you have a sleep disorder.  If you switch, go ahead and count that as Dominant.  And to add balance, might as well get a sampling of everyone. lol  Thank you for taking part!

my Mentor/Protector suffers sleep apnea to the point, that even though He is no longer my Master, i am still His alarm clock on days He has to be up early for work.

This is not to say He is not able to get Himself up, but He asks that i call to make sure He is in fact up because sometimes He is so tired that He does not hear the alarm until after i call to make sure He is up for work.

i also like the fact that on those days i get to stay up past the curfew He has set.

That being said ......... Good night one and all ........ have a fantastic week and remember the sun does shine as long as we wake up on this side of the dirt lol.

Female Dominant with frequent sleep disorders here.  I have about the most erratic sleep patterns of anyone I know, yet function just fine.

Angel and I both have our own sleep disorders. Mine is mainly from having Bipolar disorder that is unmedicated, so my mind goes haywire and i dont sleep.  Not sure what his is, but i do know he cant seem to sleep anywhere but his dormroom bed.

I either have a sleep disorder or the earth is too close to the sun, I vote for the latter.

I don't know, but I would say my personality has something to do with my insomnia which thus far isn't a problem, but I haven't a single doubt in my mind I will be needing sleep aides on a regular basis if I ever have to do a regular sleep/wake cycle.    M

When I used to Domme I hardly ever could sleep.  Now that I am an owned slave, I sleep much better, in fact too much, lol.  My Dom on the other hand, is spuratic.  There are days when he's wired and up early and days when I can't get him up at all.  I wish he has a more consistent sleep pattern, as it affects both of us.

I have  insomnia. I usually live in 3 -4 hours a day of sleep  but every fifth day sleep 12 hours. on occasion I will stay awake  for 36 to 48 hours. Sleeping aids make me to drowsy so I avoid them . Ironically large doses of caffeine make me quite sleepy.

I think it is very interesting that the largest percentage so far belongs to Female Dominants with sleep disorders, pretty much in line with my experience.  Now I'm even more curious as to what causes it.

Sleep disorders have nothing to do with being dominant.  Like.  Honestly.
