I have taken some.  Some of the basic classes are ok to take online, but most I would recommend taking in a classroom.  If you are one of the lucky ones who can teach yourself then you should be ok with them.  I would say read the material and try the exercises ( I am assuming there are exercises at the end of the chapters ) well before taking the test.  If you still do not understand contact your instructor immediately to arrange to get some help.  Good luck!

My daughter took some online classes one summer that were pre-requisites for grad school, since her Masters was in a slightly different field than her undergrad degree.  It worked out very well, she loved doing it in her pjs lol.[:)]

I like the versitility of online classes- almost everything needed for answeres is in the book- or in the online lecture. [or even a google search] being disabled- i like that i can do such when i have the energy and time- i dont have to drive the 50 miles to the campass- quite possibly i can earn credits w/o setting foot in this community college in Harrisburg PA.

I already have a BA. But since it is from 1984, in many ways it isnt worth anything. [i tried to get real estate license= but my courses are too old.]  When I was going for my BA- I completed 4 years in 3. Not because I am smart- I am average. But I went to 2 colleges 1 or 2 semesters, did CLEP tests, did video courses, and weekend labs. College has changed in 20 years.
When I last went it was $18.00 a credit hour. Now it is @ $200.00 an hour even at a lowly community college!!!!

That does seem like a lot for community college.

Try paying full out of state grad school tuition for a whole extra year when daughter was doing her internships, wasn't even in the same state as the school, and she had finished all her courses.  What a rip off!  The only contact with her school was an occassional report to her advisor.  When she registered they didn't tell her it would be 3 yrs of tuition instead of 2 for her Masters.[:@]

I am instate, but out of the district.-by 1 or 2 counties. I dont think any community college serves this county as home. Yet- not to fret= when I lived in a county in IL- we always seen an item on our real estate tax bill for the college....
