Domination does not need emotion attached to be domination right?

Ross

Well that depends on if you are talking about topping in a scene or if you'retalking about a D/s relationship.

If it's just a scene the answer is no, as long as you provide the apropret after care for the bottem the be whole when the scene is over.

If you mean in the D/s relationship context, for one it would be difficult for one or both parties involved to not get emotionaly involved in some way. Second, I feel that a D/s relationship without emotion would be little more then a long Pro Dom/Domme session. The D/s is the most emotionaly bonding relationship I have ever experinced and other's I know (Dom/Domme and sub/slave) say the same.

I would be suprised if a emotion free D/s relationship lasted anymore then 2-3 months, if that.

It's my oppinion that if you want to not get emotionally involved when you domanate then you should stick to scenes only.

It can be either..it still makes some more comfortable if emotion is attached to the session.

Proper after care is always in My book. To withdraw the after care and send themm on their way is not responsible .

Difficult yes...impossible no. The sub may be emotionally attached where as the dom need not be but the results are still the same for the dom.

Second, I feel that a D/s relationship without emotion would be little more then a long Pro Dom/Domme session.

What is wrong with that?

It still is for services rendered correct?

Does a trainer need to be emotional about a cat that is being trained?

Does a handler need to be emotional for disciplining a submissive?

Yes I would agree that it transcends most

That's a pretty bad example, SirD.  Have you ever known an animal trainer who didn't love animals?  It sounds like you're trying to say that it's OK to dominate somebody without loving him or her--which is fine, just say that.  But you're overstating the case by using phrases like "be emotional."  You're not human if you don't have emotions.  Hell, the urge to dominate is itself an emotion.  Oh, there she is, I want to tie her up and fuck her.  That's an emotion right there.

To dominate one does not need to have emotional attachment but the intensity level may be greater is there is such attachment.

Topping a an event with someone you have no attachment to can be fun. Topping a friend can be fun. the same is true with bottoming. But when you are part of or witness two people playing, that have an emotional relationship, the scene is electric. I find it difficult, Not to develop emotional relationships. If I'm training or guiding someone, I still develop emotions towards this person.  I can Top for the fun of it, but much prefer an attachment of some sort.

In my experience, most folks without a partner, will play for the fun of it. But when all is said and done they (for the most part) are seeking a deeper connection. When you have such a partner it opens many doors. I love to watch a sub of mine play with someone else. And they love me watching. We go home happy, have sex and know there is someone in their lives that truly cares about them.
