The prevailing view among psychologists is that foot fetishists - for whatever reason - spent a lot of their toddler years at their mothers' feet. The idea being that the female foot is imprinted on the infant's mind as a source of comfort --- a place of refuge so to say.

There's another thought that an early event in life, involving the foot, formed an impression on the mind. I like to think this is the correct answer.

In response to bcthedog, I don't think you're a freak or wierdo. I do feel, however, that you're somewhat illiterate and quite transparent. But ... then again ... that is only another unqualified opinion.
