StrictMistress -> Want to lease a farm house around London Ont. (3/5/2005 1:42:49 PM)

I am looking to lease a farm house around London Ontario Canada. With maybe one or two acres around the actual house. The rest of the land could be rented out to farmers who will actually use the land for farming, etc. My second choice would be to find a reasonably priced rental in London Ontario, that I could use as a home, but, certain rooms would be set up as dungeons, there would have to be a basement for cells as well. As I would need the place for a rather cheap sum of money, I would certainly entertain the idea of a submissive whom has such a place to have sessions on a very regular basis. Now I know that I am asking for what seems to be the world, but after looking for well over 6 months, I have not found something that would allow me the privacy that I need, at a price that I an afford. So, I am open to ideas. Thanks. Strict Mistress

I really hate to burst your bubble but, what you are looking for is simply not a realistic posability. Before you dismiss what I have to say as being a simple pesamist's views you should know that I have been in the agricultural industry for several years working with sheep, goats, horses, and cows. In addition to this I have been living in a 1789 farm house in the process of renovating to make it more livable to myself and the owner. If this is something you really want the best route to go is to save your money and look around. You will have to purchase (yes buy not lease) a property in order to be able to lease it to others. Land with at least one building on it would be preferable so that you do not have to deal with building your own house. Also it would be preferable to have a barn of some sort either for animals or farm equipment. Before said purchase you should also get a land assesment and agricultural assesment to see how it can be best utilized in addition to zoning and agri-laws that might pertain to the area. Getting in touch with the agricultural comunitee whom will have a better idea of what can be done with the land and how will help you increase your chances of being able to lease the land if you have at least a few established contacts from different industries. From there they can put you in contact with other people. Another thing to consider is does it absolutely need to be in London Ontario or would you be willing to seek a place out in surrounding more beaten path areas. As for the dungeon that was part of the 'renovating' that was going on. There are many ways to do this at low cost so long as you are building it yourself and not paying for pre-made some assembly required items. With that best of luck.

Thank you for your input, but I am really hoping that you are wrong. There are several farmers in and around London, who have bought up the land around their houses, and rent out the rest of the houses on the property they have bought out. With any luck, something will materialize. I am thinking about putting flyers in the places that look empty. Maybe if someone comes around to check the house every once in awhile, they will read my flyer. I have also decided to do that within the city as well. I did miss out on one house in the city, a man who had been trying to sell his home for over 5 years, decided to rent it out for a very low sum of money, just to keep the place occupied. They told the tenants that they would give them four months notice if the place ever did sell. Now, I can always hope that there is something else out there like that that I can snap up. But, I do appreciate your response to my ad. Strict Mistress

My suggestion is also to wait--you'd be surprised how many houses come on the market in and around the London area once school is done with for the year. May will be your month--and landlords are more willing to bargain in this early part of the season..
