LittleMissSub -> help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/1/2007 8:59:53 AM)

I have to ask here for some advice.  This might be a little graphic, but i'm going to try really hard to not let that happen.

Out of nowhere, a couple weeks ago, it started feeling different when I peed.  It started feeling really, really good a couple seconds after i was done peeing.  This really good feeling varies in intensity and duration, but it happens about 80% of the time now.  And to top it off, i have to pee all the time now, when i never had to before.

Part of me wonders if i have a bladder infection with the constant need to pee, but I've had one before and it didn't feel like this.  I'm not kidding, it feels really, really good.  Almost orgasmic.  In fact, when i have erotic dreams, i have this same feeling, which i didn't realize until this experience started.

So....does this happen to anyone else?  Do ya think something might be medically wrong with me?  Is this a sign I should investigate those tuning fork type things?  Help!

It could be a yeast infection, a bacterial infection, it could be diabetes (frequent urination), and I had that feeling kinda when I was first pregnant too.... go to the doctor

Go to the doctor.

sounds like a UTI

but go to the doctor

oh and P.S if it is a UTI it will eventually be a bladder infection.. and then eventually be a kidney infection.. and then eventually kill you.  i almost died from a bladder/kidney infection when i was a kid.

So em... go to the doc

windchymes -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/1/2007 1:33:17 PM)

Just for the record, "UTI" actually means "Urinary Tract Infection".  It's not different from "bladder infection" and/or "kidney infection".

I truly wish people who passed out medical advice would actualy HAVE a medical education background.

And to the OP, please see the doctor.[:)]

Between now and doc appointment, you might want to try a glass of pure cranberry juice.  The stuff works wonders but be warned that it is NASTY to drink, IMO.

CandleInTheWind -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/1/2007 7:41:35 PM)

Cranberry juice in my house is referred to as Kidney Juice!

OP  Odds are you have somettype of UTI...either a bladder infection or a kidney infection  (all UTI mean is that you have an infection somewhere in the urinary system)  the symptom you explain is somethign i had once when a bladder infection was just beginning...basically the urethra is slightly irritated not enough to be fully painful...but trust me the feeling left unchecked will more than likely turn into utter ugliness and you will feel a twinge towards the end of urination then you will wince every time you pee....so get yourself to a doctor and drink your kidney juice  and dont for get to wipe from front to back

I had a UTI once it ended up in my kidney's and if you want to feel pain you let it wait. If you want to be sessible go to the doctor. Wouldn't you feel better knowing there nothing wrong than you do now.

hereyesruponyou -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/2/2007 10:58:48 AM)

On this same note, it seems everytime I engage in play that involves significant clitoral stimulation (ie. erocillator to clit area for 10-15 min.) i end up with a UTI. Can't do the cranberry juice as it makes me sick. Have been sure to wash myself and toys VERY well both before and after.

ANyone have any suggestions?

amativedame -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/2/2007 11:33:15 AM)

if you can't do cranberry juice try large amounts of vitamin C, does the same thing.

readyrider53 -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/2/2007 11:37:28 AM)

Yes C works good also and if you can't take the juice there are cranberry pills, easier and the taste goes away sooner. Keeping things clean is a good idea as a man I have been putting things in mine for years but always make sure whatever it is has been cleaned good.  As a rule I clean before and after so as not to forget.

pee before and pee after...pee, pee, pee my gynecologist always sez.  sometimes being a girl can be a bit of a hassle.

classykindasassy -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/2/2007 8:16:06 PM)

OK once you have taken all this doctor advice, now you know there is a new spot to play with and explore! My dom drives me around the bend with it! Don't worry - we are clean and he makes me go to the bathroom.

If you do indeed have a UTI, i am adding my thoughts on it, with some information.
I am one that has had a few of these, i also am tired of taking prescription meds for it. (we won't go into that, another story for another day)

Awhile back i discoverd D-mannose, it's a powder, it can come in capsules also, you can get it at a health food store.  Ever since "i" started using the capsules, i have never had to use another prescription for a UTI.  It's great...it's natural, it works for "me".

http://www.healingtherapies.info/D-Mannose.htm

Just so i don't put a hair up anyone's ass here, i am not advocating that this is good for everyone, they should see a doctor and find out the problem.  I am merely stating what i have found and what has worked for me, and what has worked for a few others i know.

(edited for some of the stupidest typing errors i have made in, ohhh..days)  lol

Actually there is a difference.  As you said a UTI is a "urniary tract infection"  (see the key words - urinary tract) and a bladder infection is when the infection in your urinary tract travels UP to your bladder.. and a kidney infection is when it travels past your bladder and to your kidneys.

Unless you've some documentation of a credible source to prove me wrong, i stand by my words

Devilslilsister -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/3/2007 7:47:18 AM)

drink lots and lots of water to flush out your system here

Termyn8or -> RE: help! my urethra's driving me crazy! (2/3/2007 8:38:55 AM)

Arguing over what is part of the urinary tract solves nothing. Telling people not to give advice without letters after their name also solves nothing.

I think the OP is aware of the existence of doctors. She also simply needs a telephone, not collarchat, to make an appointment.

When it comes to this I will not recommend self healing, the MD might be a good idea.

Of course I keep my urinary tract healthy with copious amounts of beer. I cannot recommend this to anyone else though,  not in any serious way.

Really though, if the problem were difficulty in urinating I would indeed recommend beer, but it is not. This could possibly be a UTI that is simply not as nasty, not as proactive at attacking the body.

I say see the sawbones, find out. While I'm sure that some UTIs can be cured naturally, I have absolutely no idea how to do it, so go to the doc.

I know it sounds strange coming from me, but unless someone comes up with something concrete, i.e. root of this, these berries and nuts and this supplement, and oh yes, if you can stand it drink beer, the doc is the only option.

To the OP, I didn't read your profile so I do not know your age, how old are you ? Also, more importantly how are you holding up ? The reason I ask is it has just occurred to me that you may be developing a drop of the pelvic floor. You said it doesn't really burn, but "feels different", and more frequent urge. These are among the signs. It happens when age catches up, so it is not so much age, but your condition. You could be 60 and still firm, or you could be 35 and your C cup breasts fall to your navel without a bra. Two opposite ends of the spectrum, but if the latter is true, suspect pelvic floor breakdown.

If you are in really good shape and firm otherwise, I think I would look more for an environmental issue. In fact, when ready I have another possibly controversial post coming up about just that. You'll notice it.

But to boil it down right now, any change in your condition should be met with long hard thinking about your particular environment. Did you start or stop any meds ? Did your diet chaange ? And (related to other post), did you possible switch perfumes or shampoo, anything like that ? Have you lost or gained a significant amount of weight recently ?

Sometimes answering a lot of little questions brings about an answer to a bigger question.
