sexy, To cut to the chase. No one is born knowing how to do D/s play. IF you are interested in this type of play, go to a PERSON you can trust that has a excellent track record as well as access to the proper equipment in this type of play and ask questions, if possible observe the play. Then if you are still willing, make sure the dominant is willing to learn in a hands on setting how to do the play. Good luck.

DominaElle -> ABUSE and wrongful treatment of submissives should never be tolerated. (12/1/2006 12:48:04 AM)

If you don't mind....would you comment further on the people who barely made it out alive that you know and know of....I am curious, were they a part of a bdsm club, a circle of friends, what?? Personally, I see it as a matter of discernment. I believe we are all supposed to THINK, USE OUR HEADS TO DISCERN. Many people do not think, or they are self destructive and or both (this goes for bdsm and vanilla folk alike). As a Domme, I educate and even seek to empower my submissives. They will love me more and better serve me. I warn them when they are not savy or awake or thinking straight, and I deplore when I see subs used and or harmed., but never have I heard of something as extreme as what you have here described. Please elaborate if you would.

(Even though there is an exchange of power....one must NEVER lose sight of being a HUMAN BEING FIRST....first and foremost, second is submissive or Dominant. And I believe we as human beings are to constantly evolve into better beings and that our actions ALWAYS reflect this)

BDSM, KINK, PLAY, whatever, should not override anyone's ability to do what is right. Of course there are humans who live very negative dark destructive lives. Where does reality end and fantasy begin? When is common sense abandoned completely for the sake of a ritual.

Wow. I am rambling. LOL. Does anyone relate to what I am sayin? Or am I crazy??

You realize you're responding to a post that's over two years old, right?  That user no longer visits this site.

No, it's not safe if she's never done it before.  Even if the dominant has a medical background, it still has a fairly steep learning curve.  I learned inflation from a pair of gay men, one of the pair being a doc.  I'm a critical care paramedic who works with invasive lines (not just standard peripheral IV lines) and it took me a few encounters before I was entirely comfortable with delivering the catheter where it goes.  And what you're doing with the saline itself goes against everything we learn in healthcare (don't infiltrate the soft tissues.)

Incidentally, scrotal infusion is one of the few things actually documented in health care journal papers.  There are two documented journal articles concerning a severe case of cellulitis and infectious diseases acquired through this specific practice.

The thread may be 2 years old, but it is a fascinating subject that I've not seen mention of in quite a few years mayself.  I haven't been "hanging" around where I've seen it mentioned myself in quite a long time.

I've previously read of men who reported needing to use a woman's brassier to rig an apparatus to support their scrotum following this procedure as it takes several days for the bulk of the saline to absorb, particularly for those men who had reported being infused to the size of a grapefruit! [sm=whoa.gif]

Can you tell me what kind of infectious disease was documented in the journals as having been acquired through infusion?  I can understand where maintaining sterile conditions would certainly be a critical concern, but wondered if the infection was related to unsterile conditions or to something else. [8|]

MisPandora -> RE: Saline in the Scrotim (12/1/2006 11:58:51 AM)

The one paper documented a severe cellulitis that took several months and rounds of BSA (broad-spectrum abx) to remedy (this is quite an old article, from back in the mid 80s if I'm not mistaken.) The second referenced a s. aureus infection as a result of a "prank" involving infusing saline into one's testicles.

Both of these articles were forwarded to me several years ago by a friend who happens to be scene friendly and an infectious disease practitioner.  (We used to moderate a health board together.)  The doc is in the midst of crunching data from a BDSM practitioner survey concerning their health care.  Doc brought up the articles as a result of that incident, to demonstrate to me that the medical community really doesn't grasp all that much of the things that we do to one another, or that patients don't often admit to the risks they take and partner their HCP into their life in a positive fashion.

What I cant get over, is that although SRS does not worry me one bit, the idea of this does actually make me wince......

I saw this done.  Once.  And it wasn't even the most painful method.  The man was trained, had done it before, and was a well-known extreme pain slut.

He was in a hard cold sweat the entire time.  It really must have hurt like HELL.

Interesting Morrigel in that the accounts I've previously read of this by men who have experienced it was that it wasn't at all painful for them except when trying to hold up their heavy scrotums after having been infused.   Perhaps this is a case of YMMV? [8|]

When I first heard of the practice, I was at a total loss as to what the purpose was until it was explained to me that the saline was also absorbed by the penis as well and greatly enlarged it when erect.  It then made sense to me why Dommes would want to experience this with their subs and why subs would want to know what it was like to have an enlarged penis, even if only for a shrinking few days. [;)]   It would hopefully satisfy (or in the worst case confirm) most men's curiousity about any inadequacies they feel in regard to their size.

Some people will claim that "protocol" prevents a slave from having this common sense.

Yes, but those with common sense, will know better.....

It shouldn't be painful, per se, if the infusion is run at a KVO rate with saline and not with a hypotonic solution like D5W (would cause major tissue necrosis.)  The sensation has been described to me numerous times as pressure, or a cold feeling.  I've used an infusion warming bag or taped chemical hot packs to the 500ml bag of NSS doing the run-in so there were little temperature changes between the bag and the recipient.

I honestly can't say.  It wasn't my scrotum and it wasn't my needle.  Maybe she wasn't using saline?  It didn't occur to me at the time that it could be anything else.  To be honest, I was so hypnotized by the obvious pain he was suffering and the size his scrotum was getting that I wasn't thinking much about the technical details.  I'm sure it was a visual illusion of some sort, but dear GODS it looked huge...

An earlier post mentioned cold saline is painful. Did she get the bag out of an ice chest? ;-)

So I am going to have my scrotum infused to the size of not one but two grapefruits. Then I will put on a kilt....because, well, pants would just be impractical. Then I will approach a woman and make a bold statement. And if she says it takes big balls to say that, I will reach for my kilt and respond, it's funny you say that.

;-)

Cheers,

Sea

It may not have been an optical illusion- with practice, they can go to quite amazing size.

Considering the fact that cold makes scrotal skin contract, a cold saline infusion would be a rather evil thing to do!

Also, i obviously don't know about the situation in question, but a very strong fear/phobia reaction can cause cold sweat just as well as pain (i've actually experienced it just from discussing a medical procedure... freakin' weird).

It amazes me that you can't buy sterile saline or pure oxygen without a prescription in the U.S., but you can buy grain alcohol or hydrochloric acid over the counter with no questions asked. Yay for lobbyists.

DominaElle -> RE: Saline in the Scrotim (12/6/2006 2:14:54 AM)

I have been told that you can buy saline at www.kinkymedical.com. I am very interested in learning the correct and safe way to do this. I also believe I am qualified to perform such procedures. I didn't pay attention to the dates of the thread, I simply did a search and made a comment. And look what happened....I learned something and a few others chimed in. Perhaps I am not a genius, but I can get the ball rolling.

Anyone who would like to send Me info, links, ANYTHING that will assist Me....please do so!! [email protected].

THANKS!!!

I was at Thunder (http://www.ThunderInTheMountains.com) this year and watched Dr. Evil (a wonderfully wild woman) inject saline into a woman's labia. The woman sat upright for the procedure and just loved her 'balls' when finished.  It was a hoot ...I'd love to learn how to do it to someone...but then, I'm all about safety...
