Hubby was watching curling this morning and i was only listening while playing games. If i didn't know it was curling i would of thought it was porn, all i heard were things like:
harder, harder, faster, yessssssss, go, more, etc
I was laughing to myself over this.

I've never seen curling on TV except during the winter Olympics and it was one of those "well, isn't this a peculiar sport" segments.

What an interesting sport! I had thought it to be like primitive hockey, but the brooms don't hit stones - the stones are shoved/slid across the ice towards the target. Each team throws 4 stones per 'inning' and only the team with the stone closest to the target gets points for that "inning.'

I'll have to try to watch it the next time it is on television in the US.

i hate to admit it...but i rather enjoy watching the sport (?) of curling...i was first exposed to it a few years back when i was doing some work in the Toronto area during a huge curling match...the Canadian equivalent of ESPN had it on just about non-stop.

Unfortunately, there's almost no way to follow it here in the US...unless one lives near the Canadian border...well, the Winter Olympics is just a year away!
