i did the same -- althought not quite a life altering, she and her family have filed for bankruptcy, are facing foreclosure, and her hubby is out of work.

Also spoke with 2 area policemen asking questions about a little 9 yr old girl who is missing, but not on the news.  I wrote the tv station asking why the story wasn't there when there was one about a little 7 yr old boy who is missing in MD.  i can hear the the police helicopter still searching for the little girl -- it's 18 degrees here which makes it even worse.  Not sure how  constructive all of that was, but it's made an impact on my life tonight.

(I also threw out a mouse that picked the middle of kitche to bite the dust, and that maintenance wouldn't come get.  This should earn me a metal somewhere..lol)

I dragged myself out of bed,
dragged myself to the shower,
dragged myself to work,
collapsed on my desk,
woke up at the end of my shift and wiped the drool off the keyboard.
Does any of that count as constructive?  If not, then no...nothing constructive today

Tried to reasonably try to figure out how financial aid is taking so long at the school, and instead the lady took offence that i would question the system.

Went to class, and took a quiz that i bearly studied for.

Took an hour walk that i am paying for in my hip, but after seeing my ass in a picture....didn't really care what the dr. said. I think loosing 20lbs will help with getting my hip fixed.

Oh and just saw Freedom Writers....fucking awesome movie, and i think i might just read the book now.

I found someone who was willing to help me with some Statistics formulas I was struggling with, and then I aced my exam.

I wished a friend a happy birthday.

And I made my Master happy.

The question that comes to mind is whether the mouse died because of what was in your kitchen, or was it just making a statement? LOL!

But my feeling is no life, no matter how small, should pass without at least someone noticing that it lived and was somehow even if unseen was part of yours.  At least the little fella got noticed in the end!  (note that I have had pet mice and even rats as pets and always say a little word over them when they pass on....sniff!)

As to the orginal topic, I wrote up a daily report and took/provided some training photos to a current mentor/prospective master.  Recorded the new Survivor program for a roomie....okay, that was too easy I know!   Feed her dog and the four pet rats (and no they go not get to run around the kitchen!).

Made breakfast, got oldest to school, washed and dried 3 loads of laundry, got the dishwasher running 2 times, amused smaller ones, made lunch, went to the pool with the unmentionables, made dinner, put them to bed.

Collapsed on the couch.

Today I decided to write a few new poems and work on my novels.

I have also been helping someone with a very serious problem and yet another with a personal growth issue. Long time friends and new friends, it is nice to help them to grow.

Unfortunately, it is 6 degrees outside, the windchill is 20 below and the car won't start so... I am not going anywhere today... lol...

Aside from the normal crap.......feeding and running 4legged creatures and being here at work, today, as little as possible. I am in recovery from a weekend spent with two small whirling dervishes, complete and utter terrors, ages 2 & 3. Thank god I was a teenage hussy and am a grandma at age 44. They would kill most 64 year old's. The plus side is.......
After a 1/2 mile hike thru 1 - 1 1/2 ft deep snow with a 3yo clinging to my back, uphill......I can safely say my heart and lungs are very healthy.
Soooo, today I am in recovery and working, kinda sorta.

I pissed HIMSELF off.  Made amends.  And did what I should have done at the beginning.
Result - Two happy people at the end of the day.
