Hanson Humblers!?

That is just what I bought from Mr. S! I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

I have the glossy black one. It really is well made.

There are two basic types of BDSM vendors.  

There's the 'craftsmen', like Toy Bag, Hanson, DeTails, Happy Tails, London Tanners, Kittens Toy Room, Leather by Danny, etc, who make and sell their mostly their own products (although they may re-sell some things they bought elsewhere).   These are the folks you go to if you want something custom made.

Then there's the "resalers" like Stockroom, Mr. S, and a whole slew of others that buy toys, clothes, equipment and re-sell them.   That's why you see Toy Bag paddles show up on Stockroom's site, Hanson humblers on Mr. S's site, etc.  They have to buy their kinky toys somewhere, and it's good to see they support craftsmen.  You can't, however, often go to a resaler to get something custom because you're usually just buying whatever "stock items" they are currently selling.

I have to disagree with this statement , at least in part, The stockroom is not just a resellar, they have thier own massive leather shop in which they make bdsm leather goods. which they sell as regular items. I do agree that they resell "other toys" since most vibes etc are made by china or somewhere.But what BDSM supply house doesn't sell " 3rd party made toys"

Broad statements like "Then there's the "resalers" like Stockroom, Mr. S, and a whole slew of others that buy toys" is far from truth. and to me, not helpful to others seeking nice toys and would shy them away from decent mail order places.

My opinion is those that seek BDSM toys, read about the site and what they make, and sell ( not to mention support and return policy). In most cases it is obvious on which is a resellar, or an oem. But pending on what you seek, resellars are not always a bad option on what you seek. Heck i do a lot of my toy shopping at Home Depot.

but if you wonder if the Stockroom is just a reseller, and how i disagree take a look at ( albeit they mainly make their own leather goods)

I've stood in the Mr. S in Los Angeles and watched them make leather goods in their side room.. They custom did a pair of cuffs for an ex sub of mine also (without me present.) Mr. S is not just a reseller either.

If anyone is interested in making one, the hinges than hanson uses are called "barrel hinges" and are available from both www.woodcraft.com and www.leevalley.com both of which catalogs almost anyone into making their own toys should have.

The stock is 3/4 oak and can be made from s4s lumber from Lowes and HomeDepot.  S4s means surfaced (flat and smooth) on all 4 sides.

To install barrel hinges, you need a drill press and the ability to locate and bore holes accurately.

Not trying to say what to do, but I use some variation of this on the outside of the humbler. It pulls me further through the hole so it makes it impossible to stand. Without it, I could stand half way. when these are on my knees have to be up to my stomache in order for me to not be in pain

I have to agree with a previous poster. Mr. S. here in SF has a production shop of about 20 FT employees. They make nearly all their own leather products, and have kept many many more individual artists employed FT by buying their wholesale products and reselling them. I have had no problems asking Mr. S. for a custom flogger or cane or something. They are happy to ask their supplier and charge the small markup for it. I often chose to go through Mr. S because of the small 5% back I get in rewards. It adds up after awhile. Especially considering all my boys buy their things under my name as well. However that is there choice not my command.

Soounds exactly like the one I have from Hanson Paddl Company, it's seriously the Cadillac of humblers. Has a locking mechanism and everything.

I own a humbler from the same place as Beach ... and I love it to no end!!

Recently I pulled mine out of the drawer where it had been hibernating. A tip for getting it into position.... wrap some soft rope around the balls to get them stretched out enough to be pulled thru the humbler.  As you start closing down the humbler, untie and remove the rope. Finish tighening down, and enjoy. I love to see balls stretched tight. They're so much fun to torture. I favor using my long fingernails, bamboo skeewers, wartenbug wheel, and whips on the balls when they are are so neatly presented.

They're fun, but whatever you do, don't buy the cheap-ass ones on Ebay.  The one I bought there literally splintered while it was on a sub.  Bad, bad, juju.  No injury, but considerable discomfort.
