Vendaval -> Questions about pony play gear (2/6/2007 2:26:51 AM)

Greetings A/all,

One of my subs is interested in exploring pony play and
we have been checking out Web-sites, equipment, etc.
We have found pony play items on the Sub-shop and
a few other sites, but have not found good descriptions
of the usability, if you will, of the items.

For those of you who wear this type of gear,
what are your recommendations for the bits, bridles
and so forth?  Also, some of the footwear is made to look
like horse's hooves, what is that like to wear?  Is the
inside made like a regular boot or shoe?  How does
this type of footwear effect your balance, movement, etc?

Y/your responses are much appreciated!  [:)]

Thank you,

Vendaval

PONYSEEKER -> RE: Questions about pony play gear (2/6/2007 12:35:02 PM)

Thats a pretty broad question.  The shoes are like regular but from what I understand difficult to walk in (Ponies need strong legs and ankles)  as far as the gear in general it varies a lot from pony to pony and is very dependent on what kind of pony you are training. As far as the bit gag for the most part I use one with a ring in the top in order to secure the sub to a lunge line for training but the shoes dont come into play till much further down the road as well as the harness.
For the most part I introduce the gear as it becomes a part in training.... not every sub makes a good pony and not all of them like it once they get into it and it is a considerable investment especially for show ponies so I come up with what gear looks best and introduce it to them in parts so to speak.  I only work on show ponies so everything is geared twords looks and disciplin of movement so things would probably be much different for a work pony.
