Greetings A/all,

I have been reading some of the threads on fisting and have
a sub who wants to try this activity. For those of Y/you who
like fisting, what is the difference between vaginal and anal
fisting? I would appreciate hearing from both the fister and
fistees point of view.

What's the difference between the size of a newborn and the size of the average bowel movement.... I think the difference between vaginal and anal fisting might be proportionate to that.

Edited to add:
The truth is that I would be more careful with anal fisting. It is a very delicate process. Cleanliness is an important factor in both, but I'd argue moreso in the case of anal fisting.
Obviously if you've read threads on this you know some of the basics... trim fingernails, use gloves, tons of lube, and work your way up!

Also try to push your fingers together into a duckbill type shape when going for that final step from four fingers to a full fist. During a fisting workshop we had at my college during the first week of school we saw a demonstration of fisting as it should be done (using a watermelon rather than a person, which was kind of disappointing) and the motto was, "If you don't make the duck, it will hurt like fuck"

You don't want it to hurt.

Whether or not pain is your kink, in that area it's a BAD idea.

I don't have a vagina, but I love anal stimulation. With the anus, the key is to relax. I've had women fist me also and the feeling is that you need to take a dump. The muscles in the rectum feel as if they want to push out the invading fist, but you just need to remain relaxed.

But seriously, good topic. My Mistress has tried to fist me but I am still too tight......I also have thought about fisting my wife and had a chance not to long ago during a state of passion but was afraid of hurting her.

Well if your sub is a guy then you only have one option.
If you are going to anally fist anyone I suggest you make sure they have a good clean out first!
It takes practice, time and patience so don’t hurry things.
Use a water based lube and lots of it. Oil based lubes quickly grow bacteria and are more likely to cause infections.
Someone else on the other thread mentioned poppers and I agree that these will really help, especially with anal fisting.
There is lots and lots of good information on the internet so its just really a case of reading up on the do’s and don’ts and then having a go.

Ok, first of all....cleanliness for insertion is MUCH more important for vaginal as it is so darn close to the urethra..am I right, every woman who has ever had a urinary tract infection? The urinary tract is a sterile system in the body and while in vaginal fisting we are not trying to stimulate the urethra, it will be touched.

Anal fisting... The colon is not a sterile system and people get things shoved in there all the time! When done properly fisting is fun, erotic and sensual. I have been both anally and vaginally fisted and I've fisted both anally and vaginally.

What you need to keep in mind for both is: short fingernails, latex or nitrile gloves, lots and lots and lots and just when you think you are done, lots more water based lube, a slow easy one finger at a time start, increasing fingers from index down the line.

Fisting does NOT mean shoving one's closed fist into an orifice. It means inserting the hand, slowing, one finger at a time until the hand is in to the TOLERANCE of the bottom. When (if) fully inserted the hand is shaped more like a "beak" in that the thumb is in front of the palm and the fingers are close together in a pointed shape. Once in and relaxed you can feel free to move around a bit more.

Anally one must be careful of puncturing the intestinal lining (SHORT FILED nails). Vaginally one must remember the symphisis pubis bone is there and that darn bone just won't stretch and relax.

Think critically. Is your bottom a petite 90 pound woman and you are a massive 300 pound man with meat hooks for hands? Just be careful.

Both vaginal and anal fisting has to be done within the realms of good hygiene but of the two, anal fisting carries the most risk of infection and injury. HIV and HepB are far more easily spread through anal than vaginal because the colon wall is like absorbent tissue paper and so germs, viruses and bugs can be passed on far easier.
We may think of the anus as being a dirty place but at the end of the day they are our germs, our bacteria and as such they do us no harm. Other peoples germs will.

A break in the vaginal wall can cause all sorts of problems including sterility but a break in the colon wall can cause peritonitis and death.

To Vendaval, the #1 difference is that anal fisting is very well covered by the gay handballing community, while they don't have nearly as much experience with vaginal fisting, I hope, given the anatomical "adjustments" required to make one. ~g~

Actually, the right kind of vinyl also works. It depends on what they add to it. Most kinds of vinyl in the US apparently (based on what little I've read about glove choices) break down with anything oil-based, and even some other types. The one my local pharmacy carries, doesn't, and it gives more tactile feedback than nitrile, IME.

Generally, no. Depends on what you're after, though, and the level of experience involved. It's not something to be starting the day off with, for sure.

I'd also add that, past about 15cm (IIRC, being a nurse, you can probably correct me here), the sigmoid colon starts, and that's where the puncturing issue becomes really iffy, in the sense that it's significantly easier to puncture, and at a sharp angle.

If you've got some clues as to pros/cons and hows with regard to the people who "straighten out" the sigmoid to go further, that'd probably be useful to some. I know others have mentioned that in past threads on the topic, but none have covered it in any great detail. I usually leave it at "don't, until you know what you're doing". It'd be interesting to know more about that, though. I haven't been inclined to go that far, and wouldn't without researching it, but it's always nice to learn more, and to be able to pass it on.

I find some of the answers quite interesting, but there is another aspect of anal fisting that has a long term effect. As the muscles are stretched to the max they weaken a little which may not be noticable untill in later life when it is very difficult for the fistee to hold themselves for long when the need to go to the toilet takes them by surprise, at this time wet farts are common and anal dribbling can be uncontrolable, and in extreem cases the fistee will need to wear diapers permanantly.... so anal fisting can be fun in the short term .. but a pain in the ass in the long term .. This is not the case in Vaginal fisting as the urethra is not being stretched so does not present the same problems .. play safe ..

If this is based on your own experiences, you could perhaps share a bit of info about that for those of us who haven't been around long enough for this to become a problem yet? How much stretching was involved? For how long? How often? And so forth...
