Our collection of toys is starting to slowly but surely grow larger, so im having a dilemma
on how to store some of them after i've cleaned them all. Right now i've just been putting my vibes/dildos as well as my two butt blugs in quart size ziploc baggies inside of out toy box. My plugs are the jelly-like material so they just stick to the bag.. im sure there's a better way to store them, i just dont know what that would be... Help please!

If you want to keep toys in plastic bags it works better if you but a small amount of babypowerder in with them. It's keeps them from sticking and and getting "sweat spots" those are the spots where the plastic sticks to the toy material and makes a weird mark or indentation from heat build up.

I have everything individually wrapped in a small towel or cloth in the toybox. Nothing gets on them and no worries about heat build up in the plastic bag.

I do keep small items like nipple clamps and the remote egg in ziplock bags but that is so they are contained.

thnaks so much for the input ^_^

putting baby powder in the bag does make sense, but i'd just have to stop what im doing to go rinse it off, and in the heat of the moment thats not something i'd really want to be doin...

the cloth idea sounds good, but wouldnt the fabric fibers stick to the toy? Is there any way to store them so that they are just ready to go right outta the box? o.O

  • Always remove the batteries so they can't leak, run down, and ruin the toy.
  • Be sure your toys are completely dry before storage to prevent mold and mildew.
  • Keep each item separate by wrapping it in a soft cloth (Cotton T-shirts work well).
  • Store in Ziplocks. Tupperware type plastic containers work well also.

Many of the gel or soft plastic toys can be washed and allowed to dry in a dishwasher before storing. Then one can wrap them in terry cloth such as old hand towels before storing in a bin or bag.
Yes the gel toys may deform, melt or stick to some plastic bags or bins. When storing in a new contatiner check the item a number of times in the first few days to see if that happens.
More often gel toys materials will interact destructively with other gel toys, so check that they can not touch.
Canes can easily be stored in flat cloth or hard sided gun cases or incylendrical fishing rods cases which are availabele at many sporting goods stores and catalogs.
Whips, floggers, quirts and paddles can usually be stored hanging, if you have a safe place to do this.
If you must put multi-fall floggers in a bag together, storing two or three of very different fall sizes together in plastic grocery bags can minimize the tangling we often find after a trip.
Similarly ropes can be bagged together, chains bagged together, and cuffs etc bagged together.
The pint or quart size ziplock bags with the sliding catch usually work well for small itmes like twine, clips, clamps, connectors, and some costume jewelry. A seperate container for different kinds of small items helps keep your goodies organized to prevent loss and make finding them for play easier

I was curious with the use of talc - I'm guessing it should be wiped off the toy first before use, correct?  Isn't there something like talc allergies that you might need to be careful of?  Time to open up some Google....

Cornstarch is better than baby power, no fragrance or chemicals and easy to wash off and very reasonable.

Thanks for the tip, putting cornstarch on my list.
The less chemicals around the better for me.

I was wondering about the cornstarch too.  I would think it could help yeast infections develop.  I do like the saran wrap idea though, think I'll have to start doing that one.  What does everyone use to clean their toys - especially insertables - after play?
