I was a Domme for 8 years and have been sub to my Master for the last 7 months (working my way towards slave). I will tell you that a lot of our difficulties arise from communication and lack of thinking. I tend to just go ahead and do things without really thinking about how it will make him feel or without asking him about it beforehand. This upsets him to no end because he sees it as me taking away his control and authority over what he wants done.

The other big problem would be me not agreeing with him at times and telling him how I would do something or had dome something as a Domme. I think it's very hard for people to remember that not everything is cookie-cut in D/s and every Dom/me is different. For me ... I hate to be wrong and I also think I know everything ... so when he tells me to do something I don't think is a good idea ... I argue it out. I wish I didn't ... but it's a bad habit to break ... relating everything back to my Domme life and things I did and learned.

yes, it can be a problem, my Dom side still pisses off potentials, and they know prior that i was a Master and have things to be broken within me. but i have made it a personal quest to become the best slave i can be. it will take time, but i will suceed

I feel the exact same way :) I have actually tried to get my Dom to do just that ... break those things within me ... but he seems to care for me too much to ever finish the job. So in the end I think alot of the work is up to me if I truly want to make the transition. And yes, time is the key ... so just have patience. :)

its is funny, yout statement. funny as in correct. every time i owned a slave in the past when i was a Master, i ended up losing because i couldnt Master them properly once i fell in love with them. for some reason, love seems to get in the way of being a strict Master, or at least in my case.

since kara left us all with a great passage about slavery, i have decided to post this one that an old slave of mine liked.

A Master takes away his slave's free use of time. Her time no longer belongs to her. She rises in the morning when instructed, and her use of time is at Master's will. She will work at what Master orders when he tells her. If she works outside the home, she is expected back at a certain time, her time belongs to him. When she eats, sleeps, perhaps uses the bathroom, when she does her chores, and when and if she has leisure is not for her to decide. Her time is not her own. If Master calls her to his side, she goes, no matter what she was doing. Her time is not her own, it belongs to Master. When you take away a woman's free use of her time, it no longer belongs to her, but becomes Master's time. I think there is no more powerful psychological experience than that of not owning your own time

Actually flavius first of all i wish you the best of luck in you journy.

2nd what you wrote about time is almost what is in my submission contract. it sayd her heart, body, mind and time belong to Master. Whenever Master was late coming to see me i wouls just remimd myself it is his time anyway.
