My Mistress outfitted me with a gold chain. It is a symbol between her and I. I also am sometimes told to wear a leather bracelet that she picked out. Neither one screams out submissive, but we both know what they stand for. That is the most important thing. A collar is merely a symbol, so it can be anything. I gained mine when I signed her contract. I never take it off, ever.

Is it a gold choker or a longer necklace? I know men wear long gold chains, but do any wear the shorter ones that fit around the neck or are those pretty much for women only?

A sub friend of mine wears a shirt-collar length thick rope chain. no one ever knew it was a collar. DV

There are all kinds of things tha can be used for a collar from a man's necklace to a ring. You can even do pircings that are not visible or a tattoo if you want something more permanent. Take a look around at your local jewelry store. Men do wear various lengths of necklace as do women and what matters is that you and he know the significance.

I make a variety of custom chain maille collars...mostly aimed at men since I couldn't find any I liked for my husband...I found a very pretty decorative lock and we use that when we go to parties and such...but we use a normal closure for day to day... Feel free to email me for pictures etc...I've been lazy about the web page...sorry... Ms. Taboo edited to add...I forgot...these are very unique vanilla looking chains...very pretty in silver and gold...

Something that looks very vanilla. A necklace, a ring, a bracelet or a watch. If he's in a job where he's not going to be changing clothes in front of people and you want something a tad more permanent, nipple piercings or a scrotal piercing. A PA is probably going to be noticed at the urinal, but you could simply make him sit to pee all the time. Do be sure to check the safety regs at his job. Most blue collar jobs won't allow you to wear jewelry because it can get caught in machinery. Not a problem if he's a desk jockey, though. Master Fire

It hangs down to the first button, I guess it would be collar length. It is a flattened link type. She didn't want anything that would look to guido (sp) as she does accompany me in public.

If he wears a shirt and tie, then anything long enough to not be seen. Otherwise, an anklet will work in any job, even the ones where you can't wear a ring. Presumably the purpose of the collar is to let him feel your connection, not to get asked lots of questions by people who don't need to know.

DV I see these hemp and shell necklaces on men on college campuses all the time. Something the shells are really beads or there's just the rope. Fox had a necklace he wore but then we got his ears pierced and that's our sybmol. I got him two near pair for Valentine'd Day so he can switch between earrings.

Greetings all, there are new ankle collars out on the market. they are a band of sorts that fits and locks to the ankle, this can work best for both male and females during work situations or times when a collar isn't appropriate.. ~ brattie ~

A wrist band works good and reminds a slave of a status of being owned while still being unobtrusive unnoticed to those leading a vanilla lifestyle. The domme should explain the symbolism to the slave so the slave understands that this symbolizes the neck collar and while in public the slave will always think about it. Even a slave bracelet that is worn on the upper arm could possibly be worn under the slave shirts.
