hello, CM.
today in IL it's a state holiday celebrating Lincoln's Birthday which means state, county and city employees, some schools (Chicago public schools), and libraries are closed. next monday, is the federal one and kids will be off again. on March 5 - Chicago public school kids will be off because of Casimir Pulaski Day (it was done to appease the Polish population during a mayoral election).
i was wondering what local/state holidays that are observed where you live in which kids are off from schools.
