My goodness CD! Our new passengers are certainly anxious to be moving on.  Should we inform them that this is a slow cruise? Not a race??
 
And, btw - has the dragon come back?  I'm getting worried about him.  The chants the monks were issuing sound strangely familiar.  I think we made need to send out a rescue party soon.  I have been reading some ancient texts today and I believe the monks think Hydro is a God of yore - and that the only way to restore him is to sacrifice him at daybreak tomorrow, as the sun's zenith crests the horizon.  The sound of gongs from the temple are suppose to halt approximately 1 hour before the sacrifice - which consists of the dragon being beheaded.  The monks will all then drink of his blood to give themselves immortal life and power over all creatures of this world and the next!

Hi bear! Thanks for the welcome home.  I must admit it has been a hectic few weeks - it has taken much longer to get the last of the trolls out of the infirmary than I expected.  That damned dragon!  Everyone is back in steerage where they belong

last I heard, he got lost in the city and ended up in some temple surrounded by a bunch of monks while trying to find a take out restauarant.
captaimsgirl mentioned something about dragon may be sacraficed at dawn, or something to that effect.

Hum, maybe I'll go into town, visit a few shrines. I'm the only Buddhist vampire I've met, but maybe I'll get lucky. If I see Dragon, I'll go the other way. My days of chasing the dragon are over.

Well bear - its nice to see someone has been paying attention....... I have been doing some further research and it seems that the rising of the Dragon God is associated with the mid-march alignment of some obscure constellation.  I can find no reference to it on current star charts, but the alignment is supposedly to happen directly over the location of the Temple at which the monks reside.  This alignment is scheduled to occur on March 18th, 2007 at 5:59:59 am.  The next occurance of this alignment will not occur for another 500 years.  It is imperative for the monks to act tomorrow or lose everything.  We MUST stop this from happening or all humankind will be destroyed!
