After potato soup, you REALLY don't want to Google for those images.  However they do make excellent asshole repellent if you are bothered by idiots online who incessantly ask you to send photos of yourself.  I have a nice collection of this sort of thing, so anyone who is sufficiently annoying may be treated to them.  I generally rename them something like "hotsex.jpg" or "me-masturbating.jpg" for better HNG bait value.   What they actually get is one of the above-mentioned images, or another one of my favorites from a police crime scene gallery that involves a dead body and a writhing mass of tapeworms emerging from an unspeakable orifice.

For some reason these guys never want to talk to me again.

Happy V-day to you and yours also.  Hope you enjoy the romantic topic.  ;)

Naja, you just continue to provide further confirmation as to why I do love and adore you. I'm going to have to start doing that.

I personally find that capitalizing letters for a dominant, regardless of gender comes and goes for me. I understand why its done (or at least I -think- I do.) I think that dominants require the capitalization (some of them) because they want their submissive to remember every time they type that capital letter about why they're doing it.

To me its just irksome at times.

Thoughts?

Though I would wonder...

If we met in RL, would you continue to refer to me as Sir out of the notion of "proper, respectful etiquette"?

As likely as not. I don't put "Sir" in every sentence, but I believe I already mentioned that when I was in the military, it was remarked upon that I used it even in speaking to those I outranked. In other jobs, I'm known as the one who says "Mr. Smith" or "Ms. Jones" rather than addressing people by their first names.

I've actually tried creating an "Internet Persona" and I'm told I don't do it very well.
Too much of who I really am always seems to come through.

But...I wont contribute the lack or presence of it to meaning the person is a better or worse dominant/Master/slave/submissive. Its as, I have said, ultimately very trite and insignificant to me.

I think we're in basic agreement here. At best, all it tells you if someone follows certain conventions of capitalization is that they want to be seen a certain way.

And You are quite right that a lot of what we see online of people is not what we'd see meeting them face to face.

I can not stand the  W/we S/spelling.  I/it I/is H/hard T/to R/Read, A/and H/hurts M/my E/eys.  I/i W/wish  P/people W/would S/stop.  It was hard to type too.  I can't see why people do it.    I's also worth pondering why pushing the shift key is a sign of respect.
