Ladies,
I had the surgery done in November.  I am so freaking happy (still!) it was the single smartest move I have ever made!  Pain was really manageable.  Gruesome bruising though  (a plus for this site, I know.)
There is SO much misinformation about bra size going on around here, my head is going to explode!  80% of women in the U.S. wear the wrong bra size.  Going to the bra dept/store and getting measured by the 'clerk' isn't the answer .  You have to find out from whichever dept store you frequent, when the Rep's from the bra companies will be there and make an appt with that person.  (I like Nordstrom the BEST ).
For me, it turned out that I needed to lower the band size  from 36 to 34and to increase the cup size.  It's the BAND that gives you support, not the straps.  Also, my cup size is smaller if my bra is a full coverage. and larger if its a demi or balconette ( but with demi or balconette you get 'double boob')  Wacoal is an amazing brand.  They have this 'power band' that has extra strength.  And, if there is anyway for you to get the surgery, THEN DO IT! You will be so happy...

Most people are going to do what they want to do. Validation for whatever you want to do is best found within your own heart. In the end, you are responsible for your own body, and only you can decide.

There are women with much larger breasts who have found that a disciplined strength training regimen is preferable to invasive surgery, and its numerous risks. They have accepted who they are and how their body is, and they appreciate their own unique beauty. The concept of "normal" proportion is about the same as the concept of "normal" sexuality. (This is not to imply otherwise for you).

I don't want normal. I just want to be free of back pain. [:)]

Aqua honey  I have been gettting acosted sinc ei was 12...in my day the sexual harrassment i endured was passed off as boys being boys....,by the time i asimilated and basically was able to say my lovely green eyes are up here....i was diagnosed with the dreaded cancer.

I understand only soooo well about havign cleavage...even when i had no boobs....after my first breast surgery i literally wasa a 38AA   i still had a cleavage line that started under my chin  there wasnt anything else on my chest but it looked like i had cleavage...oh course i wore my breast freiends every where but they were real...

I hope you have found some way of dealing with the breast pressure  especially with the warm weather coming

e, being ogled by every man at the truck stop, having strangers on CM e-mail me with nothing better to say then "Show me pictures of your tits" and people at parties thinking nothing of coming up to squeeze them. Without permission. Basically - being treated like I'm nothing but a walking pair of tits.

Amazingly, I think I can do without that. I've found that men glorify the attention that they are giving women with large breasts. Sometimes we like it. I'll admit, it's nice to have the bragging rights. But most of the time, it's completely unwanted and borders on sexual harassment. In fact, the only time I do enjoy them is at play parties and other BDSM events. Other times I'm really sick of men treating me like I'm a slut. Yes, it looks like I'm wearing a very low cut shirt - I'm really not. However I've got a lot of clevage and unless I wear a shirt cut up to my neck, it shows. Yes when I bend over they swing. This doesn't give you the right to eye me like a hunk of meat. Yes my shirt is tight. Would you like to why? BECAUSE THE STORES WON'T CARRY ANYTHING IN MY SIZE! THIS NOT, REPEAT NOT, FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE!

Sorry... it just really pisses me off. Since I've gotten these breasts the attention men pay to my mind has gone down a lot. Everything is about my breasts and will I give them a titty fuck. I'm going to stop now. Really.

Aubre -> RE: Too Much Breast? (4/6/2007 8:03:52 AM)

I've seen some sets of breasts that were reduced that before were sagging, after the reduction they were perky. Also if you are going to have the surgery and smoke, if you quit beforehand your skin should heal much faster.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.  I thought I wore a 38D, but found recently that I wore a 36DD, and I look and feel so much better!  DD sounds enormous, but it's really not!  Some of my new bras even have 3 hooks in the back, and I used to think more than two hooks was for old ladies! lol  Now, I just think of them as my "big girl bras"!

ThinkingKitten -> RE: Too Much Breast? (4/6/2007 8:17:12 PM)

FR here:
Aquatic - you go girl, and do what you feel is best for YOU. Potentially say goodbye to back pain, neck aches, permanent dints in your shoulders, yeast infections, the injustices of more breast mass to be squeezed during mammograms, and SOOOO many other things. Say hello to being able to exercise in the presence of gravity (e.g.. walk briskly or ride a horse comfortably instead of having to go to the pool), better fitting clothes, being able to see your feet [:)] , possibly more accurate mammograms in the future (although with a bit of luck they'll find a better way soon), and many other things.

And on the gross front - if most men (and women) could see what breast tissue actually looks like, they'd probably order mandatory mastectomies for all. It truly is the most disgusting stuff you've ever seen!

Kudos to Valyraen for being man enough to support you (no pun intended [:D]).
