For me it's a turn on and I can orgasm from that act alone though not quite as easily as with straight sex. I wouldn't give up straight sex in favor of anal but it sure ranks pretty high on my list.

I heard this before that some women can have an orgasm from using a strap on on somebody. Does this depend upon the quality or some specific feature of it? Or is it more of a mental stimulation which leads to this?

I think it's mental for me. I don't have a feeldo or other type of dual penetration dildo where I am getting a lot of direct stimulation. It's the action and the reaction of the guy that gets me going.

I think Strap Ons are more acceptable in the same way that any type of anal sex is more acceptable. We are becoming much more accepting as a society (at least as far as sexuality goes). I thank people like Dan Savage and his national column Savage Love, as well as Howard Stern and others who were willing to talk about this when it wasn't fashionable.

For me- I love a strap on not for the power, but for the pleasure. When someone loves getting it, it just rocks to give it to them.

Why is it getting more popular? Because women who have sex with women, and het men who enjoy prostate stimulation are both becoming more visible. :) It can be fun, although it's not at the very top of my list.
