Checking up on each other before even meeting for coffee? Sounds foolish as you don't even know yet if there's any click in person. But afterwards when you're seriously considering a relationship with them is a good idea. Not telling them is not smart because eventually it will come out and then the person you lied by omission to will distrust you. Be forthright about it and offer them the same right to check on you because if you don't the assumption will be that there's something you're trying to hide.
