I wish more of the good examples in BDSM would end up being written about instead of all the "BDSM"ers that get the jail time *sigh*

I am certainly not going to lose any sleep worrying about the police coming after me next.
The people defending this guy seem to forget that the BDSM world is a small minority of the real world. I don't care how consensual it was in him starving a caged girl, when society gets wind of it, they will react negatively. Why would you expect any other reaction?
It is obvious to me that there was plenty wrong with this guy and his slaves. And to those that say he was a great guy, well Mansons' followers felt the same about him.
I will not defend this guy. He in no way represents me. He is exactly why BDSM gets such a bad rap.

Hi Estring...I would expect a society that prides itself on freedom and liberty to stay away from the activities of consenting adults. So, if enough people dislike what YOU do, its ok with you if YOUR consensual acts are curtailed? If someone claims you did non consensual things, the police may be at your door next. People DO lie, as Jodi did.

BDSM is the real world, its as much a part of real world sexuality as is vanilla sex, gay sex, or any other consenting sexual expression. Yes, its not as prevalent, but that does not mean it must be hidden away. Glenn Marcus does represent BDSM...it may be YOUR style of BDSM, and it is not mine (I was not a slave to him, after all...just in a submissive rekationship), but it does lie within the BDSM spectra.

Oh...and to update you all on the case. Glenn was sentenced to nine years in federal prison. The guidelines for sex trafficking and forced labor called for 17-23 years; the judge chose 9 because the case was NOT your typical forced labor and sex trafficking case. This will be appealed.
