Vendaval -> Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/17/2007 7:01:41 PM)

OK ladies and those who dress like ladies, the thread about too
much breast on the Master's thread got me thinking.

What are your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or
basque?  Do you like the looser or the tighter fit?  Silk, nylon,
cotton, boning, whale-bones, laces, ribbons, etc?

Please share your picks and pans!  [sm=shake.gif]

I love the look of corsets, but haven't had the money yet to buy the really good/custom-made kind... the only ones I own are from Hips and Curves and Fredericks of Hollywood... Someday I'll save the money for a really good one! I love the look of all the lace and ribbons... I like all the really girly-girl stuff... lol!

My bra is from Victoria's Secret -- Body By Victoria full-figure/coverage style for everyday. I know, a lot of people dislike V.S. bras, but, I love these -- buy them usually online... also online, they have a style of fun (sexy) lingerie that comes in DD's and panties to match.

I will be interested to see what people respond with, I'll be taking notes for future reference [;)]

P.S. what's a basque?

VS Bras, in my experience, are well made, long lasting and well worth the cash.  I wear them exclusively.  I'm not crazy about their other lingerie, but they do get all of my bra budget.

I like bustiers.  I like them tight.  They do their job that way *grin*

I own a custom made corset that was made for me about 80 pounds ago :/  It's far too big to wear now, which is depressing, but it's fun because I'll get to have a new one made.

I'd love to find another old-style Merry Widow someday but so far, no luck.

Although I do spend a great amount of time cruising lingerie sites and finding new prettywear.

I love corsets because they work well with my body shape.

My bras tend to be fit so my boobs aren't spilling out the side. I find Vickies Secrets aren't so secret. They're all the same and generically boring. Although I do like some of their lower plunging bras.

But most of the time I go bra less. Although m'Lady is changing that.

I love corsets, if I could wear one 24/7 I would be in heaven lol. I prefer them to be tight with light boning, always a laceup back. Most of mine are the longer style and yes ribbons! Satin, silk, brocade.. I adore textiles and colors. The only type I don't like are PVC ones but then I don't like PVC of any type lol.
Mmmmm corsets!
They make me feel pretty and so feminine even if I am the only one that knows I have one on. I think that is one of the neatest things about lovely underclothes, you can wear what makes you feel good & keep it totally hidden or discreet.
I saw one corset that I want sooo much, traditional boning but instead of traditional fabric it was covered in feathers!
Bras.. alas I don't have any good ones lol. Thanks to the boob thread that will change soon [:D]

Oh, I googled basque but only came up with references to Spain etc so I don't know what that means either.

Basque, bustier and corset are all very similar but have slightly
different styles.  "Basque" seems to be more of UK term.

Yes, I was trying to remember where I had seen that
reference, had to type in "basques+corsets+bras+bustiers".
And guess what, I forgot ye ole English term of "merrywidow"!
That is such a great term, such a visual image of pleasure.  [:D]

A basque is like a corset, but you can move in it!!!  Just reread that, it makes no sence at all...  Well I tried...... ;-)

I love corsets, but I have not managed to put on one alone, as of yet...  Vollers works for me, online or in Bristol.  I do like to go in shops for corsets, so I can try them on and get measured up before purchase.

But I feel much more comfortable in a basque...  Not always matching briefs, depends on style...

ALTER-EGO-EROTICS is a corset seller on E-bay. Leather corsets up to 8X or so. Excellent quality, and unbelievable prices. The same custom corsets from Stormy would be $500 or more and I've heard Stormy is no longer even making corsets.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/19/2007 7:44:52 AM)

i have yet to find a corset or bustier for my DDs (would like to find one to wear for Daddy on my b-day in April as a surprise). however i love Lane Bryant's Cacique bras but hate the underwire.  i have a couple of black lace ones to match the black thongs (one has a tiny bell) i sometimes wear.

sensualmagirl -> RE: Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/19/2007 10:51:22 AM)

hehehe.... sambamanslilgirl... I have the g-string from Lane Bryant with the bell... *blush* well, my Papi loves it because it makes noises when I move...  quite fun... am thinking about maybe sewing bells on other panties, bras, etc.... ha ha ha!

Coupleseeking321 -> RE: Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/19/2007 1:54:55 PM)

Secret embrace by victora secret, no seams and the underwire doesn't poke you!! It haschanged my life.

Went to their site. Has anyone tried the racer back IPEX bras? I really hate underwire. and do you know which styles of lingerie are in DD's??? I couldn't find that in searching.

THANKS!!!

sensualmagirl -> RE: Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/19/2007 3:05:59 PM)

I personally, am not a big fan of the IPEX bras, I bought one, wasn't impressed... but, I also bought the underwire kind. I like underwire, I'm weird, I know... but, the body by victoria underwire full full figure is so comfortable, I don't know I have the underwire on, but they keep the "girls" up [;)]

There's a search function where you can "search by size"... I think the largest they carry is 40DD online (in the stores 38DD).

They have limited DD bras, but, Body by Victoria, Angels and Glamour have some DD's.  Glamour by Victoria carries the sexier kinds as well as up to an XL in some panties. I tend to buy my special/sexy stuff from Hips and Curves because I beleive in supporting companies that actually cater to my size, however, if I find some nice-looking bra/panty sets on-sale there, I will pick them up when I buy my everyday bras.

bandit25 -> RE: Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/19/2007 3:09:52 PM)

I buy all my bras and panties too for that matter from VS.  I love the way they fit and the way they look.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Your choices for best bra, bustier, corset, bodice or basque? (2/20/2007 8:29:07 AM)

Daddy likes the bell sound when i wear my black thongs too - oh it does attract curious attention while wearing it in public.

i like the VS line of bras however since my size runs in the 50DD i would have to stick to the Avenue and/or Lane Bryant. if i'm really lucky Wally's World might have my size but i'm going for sexy not the "plain Jane" type.

Nor should such massive edifices be covered in whitewash.........

What they cheifly need is a flying buttress arrangement like the old churches, that they might be viewed as the cultural icons that they truely are.

I am another one of those Victoria Secret girls, and I absolutely love the way they fit and their quality. I do have some Fredricks items as well, and will admit that their stores are always worth a stop to shop in just to see what they might have that is eye catching.
