Not working out when I have an obvious bruise just isn't working for me.  I can explain any bruise on my butt or thighs, but when I have one on my breasts or bikini, I just don't know what to do!  Anyone have a good excuse you are willing to share?

(Also, on a related vein, anyone who can't remove medal have a good excuse for airport security?)

I don't think that the Airport will allow any excuses. But I'm not sure on that. I know that many devices come with plastic parts to replace the metal parts, this is particularly true of chastidy devices.

Bruises... well.. who are you having to make excuses to? This implies someone is questioning you at the gym about marks on your body?

My only suggestion comes from my past of being battered. At the time I went with: I'm anemic so I bruise easily- and during ___blank___ activity, got hit there. Sports, playing with nephews, etc etc. Maybe you could give a similar medical reason. Some people do get bruises easily as a result of almost no impact. Might work.

Here is a link to some possible causes of bruising you could offer up:

http://www.webmd.com/hw/health_guide_atoz/aa61131.asp

If you didn't want to tell a specific lie, or the specific truth, you could just say something vague like: "I have a medical condition that causes me to bruise." Surely in a round about way that is the truth... being stuck causes blood vessels to burst- that is medical right?

In airport security, there should be no need to explain. The only time they will strip you is if you have body jewelery or medical reasons they need to search you. My ex use to work for security, and the stories I have heard.

As for working out, wear longer clothing during that time. I actually prefer no bruising around the neck for the reason, of having ot explain to others. Everything else can be covered with longer sleaves, or pants. In CA where it gets hot, I just wear those great thin cotton shirts.

Edit...because i assumed you ment on the body. If you mean in your bag, it is actually normal for them to see toys come through the ex-ray. There are just certain ones that you will not be able to bring.

Greetings,

You can always wear a t-shirt over your workout clothes..that or if they are on your legs get some of the workout tights. As for collars, i have had security tell me i had to remove it at which time i asked to speak to head of security..told them what it was and why i did not want to remove it. Once i did have to but then was allowed to replace it, the other two time was let on through. Just depends on if you feel secure in being open about why you wish to not remove collar.

For brusies tell you could tell them you play in pick up rugby games.. But read up on the games so you at least know a few terms.. I use to play rugy and had more bruises from it then i got from bdsm play.. LOL

For the airport it is not a big deal, they use the wand if needed, and no reason or excuse is needed.  Come on... they see it all at the airports..

We travel a lot and often take our toys. we are limited if we only take carryon as to what toys we can take. that is the only bummer to traveling light. but for check baggage we have not had any trouble, nor any trouble with metal collars.

Just be smart and don't carry inappropriate things and if asked give an honest answer. "Oh, my 'necklace' *smile* I can't take it off since my partner has the key."  Just grin and don't offer more then they ask for. Don't keep explaining. just give a mater-of-fact answer and let them move on.

I have gone to the gym with many bruises, usually covered by a long t-shirt.  If the bruises still show maybe the 'bruise easily' excuse can work.

About the airport though..just take the collar off the same way you would take a watch off and put it back on after you go through.  Never been a problem for me anyway.

About bruises, I usually turn my head to look at where they are pointing and say "look at that. wonder what I bumped into" then go back to what I was doing. Now for stripes like from a cane that won't work. On a breast or butt however they can easily be hidden by wearing longer shorts or a tee shirt instead of a tank top.

I don't think I've ever made an excuse in my life for a bruise.  I get them all of the time and don't even notice.  If someone was feebly attempting to question me about them I think I'd ignore them.
They really aren't their business anyway.

Medal or metal?  No reason why you should'nt be able to remove a medal of sorts going through security...aside from that metal as well.  If you have a dominant, they should be extremely aware of any situation you are going through.  It should be easily handled by talking to them.

As far as Airport Security, never had a problem.  I wear a collar around my neck with a padlock on it - it never sets off anything.  Not even court houses.  I just make sure the pad lock is hidden (looks like a necklace) and walk right on through security.  In all the airports and court houses i've been in........... i've had no problems.

If you don't want to show bruises, cover them up. A lot of people wear t-shirt to work out in. Buy a bathing suit that has a little skirt to hide the bikini area (mostly). Otherwise, tell people that you spar (fight training) with your partner...or that good sex leaves marks. It's really none of their business anyway.

Arnica gel or oil and rubbing on them will make them disappear faster.

When my mum asks about my bruises, i always tell her i fell down the stairs; its a running joke now.

Usually a sarcastic response will be enough to remind them that its none of their business :P

but yes, i bruise v. easily (being v.white, anaemic and having very low BP) the last bruise i blogged about took a week + to go away.. and it wasnt even very strong :(. But good luck!!

Ok for the metal that cant be taking out. I have my cookie pierced and if I go to the court house the buzzer always goes off near there.
I have had to sit and explian why, and other times ppl just know not to ask. If it is a problem with a piercing just say it. my X had his cock pierced plus implants in there too soo dont be shy, If you can get it done or have it on....try and take it out or off or just say IT CANT COME OUT.

hope that helps.

Are you worried about the dressing room or showers, or the workout space itself?

If the latter, just wear clothes with more coverage--and really, what on earth are you wearing to the gym that is showing your breasts and bikini area? :)

If the former, breasts probably be explained the same way you explain butt and thighs--I know I've gotten my chest bruised from martial arts and from bumping into things. Or it's rough sex, as an earlier poster mentioned. For bruises on the vulva, glaring should work. It's perfectly fine to ask your fellow dressers about that lovely blouse, and it's borderline to ask about that nice bra, but "How did you get that bruise on your cunt?" strikes me as extremely impolite dressing room conversation.

I've used the 'well, where did that come from? I am such a clutz and bruise easy' one as well as to my Dr.  I had to go for an  emergency visit once and she noticed marks on my legs that had come from a cane but I laughed and explained it was from my fencing class, I've also used  quading (got hit with a tree branch) once to a curious Constable that I work with,  that worked until I did a lifestyle sensitivity course fror them *s* he came up to me afterwords with a very big grin and   brought up the fact  I don't own a quad. For the most part I prefer to say how I did get them ( I love my bruises *s*) but  you have to be careful with that as some  laws decree that even if there is a suspicion  it might be abuse a person in authority is  bound by law to report it.
