Ball-bearing floggers: I got one recently, chrome handle with a sealed roller-bearing pivot for the head. The bearing was a bonus, I was looking for something I could use a varity of heads on, as they can be clipped on and off the ring. It was end-of-line and has the blue (bleugh) light suede tails it came with, but I am going to make heavy leather, heavy suede and rubber heads for it, and see if I can dye the one it came with black - it's a decent warming weight. What I need to figure out is where I can get rubber cord of the type you see used in some rubber whips; the leather/suede-skirt-from-a-charity-shop idea is one that should sort out the other material. I have made a little leather flogger out of jewellery-thong leather, a metal eye-bolt, and a dowling, plus paint. Stings like hell and makes a nasty sound but leaves no damage, and it fits in jeans pockets.
