Aileen68 -> What color are your walls? (2/25/2007 5:06:59 AM)

I realized that I don't have a single white or off white wall or ceiling in my house.
My kitchen is a warm tuscan yellow.  Dining room is a color washed taupe.  My bedroom is a Wedgewood blue.  My favorite room by far is my family room.  It's a gorgeous semi gloss red.  Fits my personality to a tee.  What colors are your walls and do they reflect your personality?

The apartment that I'm in now is all white and I hate it...when me and my late Master had our place in Pa it was perfect for me..our bedroom was a beautiful shade of blue- not really dark but not light either- perfect tone- our living room was a sandalwood color, our bathroom was a soft pink and our kitchen was yellow....I need bright colors around me to keep me happy and cheerful...dark color depress me.

My house is filled with yellows & seafoam greens. Yellow energizes me & greens always soothe me.

oooh, i just painted yesterday! the livingroom is that tuscan yellow, but one wall is a giant hawaiian mural. the kitchen and dining room will probably be a lighter version of yellow with white beneath the chair rails. and just about all of upstairs is a washed taupe. i rag painted the bedroom with a darker taupe, the guest bedroom has a wine and taupe/ragged taupe striped wall, and the office has a striped wall with three different shades of blue and the taupe/ragged taupe.
i think it fits me because it is warm, creative, and linear.

All white walls.....my house is rented and I'm not spending anymore money to paint.

Almost all of my house is a very pale yellow.  One bathroom is a cornflower blue, the other is a very pale silvery greenish blue color.  And the master bedroom is a misty gray color.  We're planning on repainting our bedroom and at least some of the yellow walls in a few months,

My Kitchen and Bathroom are the only white rooms in the house.  Even though I rent our Landlord let us paint the rooms however we wanted (which in my roommate's case was a bad decision)  Our living room and center dining room area are Asparagus green, and my room is a more mute green called Rejuvenate, lol.  The center bedroom has three cream walls with an accent wall in a deep burgundy red.  The roommates that made the bad decision painted half their room electric blue, and the other half bright magenta.  Yup, our house is an Easter Egg.

Ours are all dark dreary colors with a lot of wallpaper borders and crown molding.
Paint is so easy to replace, it has not been re-painted since we've moved in yet.  Even though that was the biggest thing we hated about the house.

We have a lot of craftsmanship in this house.  A lot of woods so our new colors will compliment the color and texture of the wood.

Sigh... I hate renting!
Needless to say right now they are all some nondiscript washed out beige.
But they used to be this wonderfully slutty deep red, a buttery yellow, and a deep taupe.
The UM's room I glazed in a 4 coat process that popped with a glow of a light glitter on the purple base.
Sounds gaudy, but it was amazing........ the room just glowed.

my room growing up had a pink wall, green wall, yellow wall, purple wall, and a blue rug. i loved it, but everyone said it must be like living inside an easter egg.

Our living room is burgundy on the bottom half and rose on the top.  The dining room is two shades of blue, my kitchen is red and pink, the first bathroom is pink, the other is lavender.  Our room is pastels with a pale yellow on the walls, one bedroom is blue/tan, and the other I am saving for the baby and haven't painted yet.

White. i suspect my wife would say that they're off-white, or eggshell white, or October snow white, or something like that...a to me, it's white. i'm not a big fan of colors, and if we painted them black i'd probably have to install more lights.

It is hard to tell. I collect vintage soda and beer signs. Lighted ones and tin ones. I have soda thermometers also. My walls are covered. I do have hardwood paneling behind them.

HydroMaster -> RE: What color are your walls? (2/25/2007 8:54:56 PM)

boring old white...or off white....antique white....egg shell?....some form of white.  I've been too lazy to paint them. So everything else is in color.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What color are your walls? (2/26/2007 12:22:37 AM)

Most of my walls are white with the exception of the master bedroom, which is forest green, and the master bath, which has green patterned wall paper.

When I looked at my townhouse, I told the realtor I really liked the place, but didn't care for the green bedroom.  He suggested I give it six months time and see if the color grew on me.  If not, I could always repaint.  He gave good advice.  I got used to the color after about six months and didn't repaint.  Interestingly, males usually love the green walls and always compliment me on them, while females usually aren't wild about them.  I will say one thing.  While I have enjoyed my green walls, I will paint them a different color when I repaint the room, as I will be ready for a change.  Ditto for the green-pattered wall paper in the master bath.  Most likely I will take it down and just paint the walls when the time comes.  Not sure what color yet.

Beige or white...
I like very soft/neutral colors in the background so that I can add or take away with curtains or furniture...  Sometimes I like a livelier presentation, but mostly I enjoy soft/subdued with some color decor to add life and personality.    M
